Brand New Fox News Poll Reveals A Brand New Candidate Surging To The Front–You’ll Love This
Western Journalism ^ | October 14, 2015 | Jack Davis

He had been in fifth place at 8 percent in the last Fox News poll after having been in third place at 10 percent in Fox's August poll.

As the latest poll shows the Republican presidential contest a neck-and-neck race between two men who have led the contest in recent weeks, a new name has risen to place third.

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, now has 10 percent support in a Fox News poll released Tuesday. He had been in fifth place at 8 percent in the last Fox News poll after having been in third place at 10 percent in Fox’s August poll.

The most recent poll showed Donald Trump holding his lead with 24 percent support, while Ben Carson was right behind Trump at 23 percent. No other candidate placed in double digits.

Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., was in fourth at 9 percent. Jeb Bush placed fifth at 8 percent. Carly Fiorina, who received a bump in support after last month’s debate, was tied with former Ark. Gov. Mike Huckabee at 5 percent. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., had 3 percent support. Other candidates were at 1 percent or less.

Cruz last week said his actions have put distance between him and other members of the Republican pack.

“If you look to the records of all the Republican candidates there’s a big difference between my record and that of everyone else,” Cruz said. “If you ask, who has stood up to Washington? Who’s taken on not just Democrats, but taken on leaders in their own party? Republican leadership, whether was leading the fight to stop Obamacare? Whether it was leading the fight to stop executive amnesty?”

“You know at the last Republican debate in California, every Republican candidate stood up there and said, ‘we need to defund Planned Parenthood.’ But last week, when we had an epic drag down fight in Washington, not one of them showed up,” Cruz said.

I don’t believe Trump will drop out, so the point is mute. Obviously Cruz would have been my second choice if Trump became incapacited for whatever reason. However, after literally mos of being trashed, lied about, insulted, demeaned, belittled, name called, etc. etc., and seeing the same done to Trump, I have an aversion to the cause in which all this hate was expended as big as all outdoors.

It’s no use arguing the point with me. It’s to the point I feel actual naseau about it. If even One Single Cruz supporter had EVER said, “ hey, people, let’s rein in the gratuitous insults; there may come a day we will want these Trump supporters on our side,” it would be different.

But Not One Ever Did.

The Corker Amendment is what Cruz was trying to use in the recent budget battle to stop the Iran Deal - obama didn’t fulfill the law (the Corker Amendment) regarding the deal - so it should never have been allowed. But the weak Republicans caved - just like they always do.

“I’ve given up on finding the perfect candidate simply because such a creature does not exist.”

Ronald Reagan couldn’t meet the standards that many Freepers have today. Banned open carry of guns in California as Governor, lousy amnesty plan, increased debt, etc. And I think that the internet, while great at getting information out, is also great at hammering on one small thing that overwhelms the real conversation. (See the church shooting turned into a big woopty-do over the Confederate flag).

THANK GOD that Reagan was president when he was - gave our nation another fighting chance.

I’m on the record as saying that for Trump supporters to trash Cruz is counterproductive at best. Plus I *have* seen Trump supporters self police. I once listed the factual reasons I had cooled on Cruz. A Trump supporter urged me to focus not on Cruz’ shortcomings, but on the positive aspects of Trump’s platform. Words cannot describe how happy that made me. I love being part of the group that opposes trashing in any form [though I quickly add that I did NOT trash Cruz; I merely detailed the factual reasons my support had faltered, and did so in a fair, evenhanded way].

Pretty close.

The Corker amendment makes everything Obama has done since the bill was signed into law unlawful.

President Cruz will be Reagan times five, at least.

Absolutely not true.

Open carry was legal in California until January of 2014.

As Governor, Reagan said that there was no place for people with guns marching in the streets (the Black Panthers). He signed the Mulford Act in 1967 which banned open carry of loaded firearms. Perhaps that was superseded by another law that did allow open carry again?

I think Reagan gave mild agreement to the Brady Bill, although I think he might have realized his error later on about that.

Again - not to malign President Reagan. What a great man, and a great president he was. And like he said (paraphrased), somebody I agree with 80% of the time is not my enemy.

How can they give Carson a yellow on MORAL issues?

I wondered about that myself. So I checked more detail on the Web site. Please click on Dr. Carson's picture on the chart.

Actually you are. I’ve researched it fully and even convinced others that back him that I’m right. Even Ted Cruz admitted he screwed up. You may not want to vote this year because you can’t keep up.

Well, then somebody has been messing with the H1-B Visa .. and here’s why I know that:

I used to work for a semi-conductor company in Silicon Valley. This type of work requires a very skilled set of knowledge to know how to produce the silicon wafer. After it is produced using several types of chemicals, it is scored and then cut .. in order to be sold individually for use in every kind of equipment.

You don’t hire UNSKILLED WORKERS for that type of work.

And .. you need specially trained and skilled chemical engineers and project engineers in order to produce such a product.

I used to process all the H1-B Visas, which went through special processing - lots of documentation, etc., and they had to be sent to San Francisco to be processed, and then we would receive the Visa, and the employee could be brought into the country.

The company had its parent offices (as well as a manufacturing plant) in Kyoto, Japan; and the H1-B Visa allowed them to bring over their current employees, to work in the plant in Silicon Valley.

None of these foreign workers had any relation to the word “CHEAP”. I don’t know where this info is coming from, and I would like to know where you got this information .. because I’ve never heard of an H1-B visa treated this way.

Please explain where you got your information.

You seem to be going from thread to thread just dumping this info .. no explanation how you know this information, or where you got it originally. NO MORE. Where did you get this information ..??????

You said that Ted Cruz voted for TPP. That is not true.

What are TPA and TPP?
TPA stands for Trade Promotion Authority, also known as “fast track”. TPA is a process by which trade agreements are approved by Congress. Through TPA, Congress sets out up-front objectives for the Executive branch to achieve in free trade negotiations; in exchange for following those objectives, Congress agrees to hold an up-or-down vote on trade agreements without amendments. For the past 80 years, it has proven virtually impossible to negotiate free-trade agreements without the fast-track process.

TPP stands for Trans-Pacific Partnership. TPP is a specific trade agreement currently being negotiated by the United States and 11 other countries, including Canada, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand. China is not a negotiating partner. There is no final language on TPP because negotiations are still ongoing and have been since late 2009. Neither the Senate nor the House has voted yet on the TPP. There will be no vote on TPP until the negotiations are over and the final agreement is sent to Congress.
