Yikes!! I'll never complain about our freeways again.
Not a good place to be when it's pit stop time.

Why don’t the person in front just go?

Gee, 26 lanes of traffic funneled into 6. Think that might cause a problem?

Yup, think I’ll take those side roads, except they’re probably reserved for the Ruling Elite.

When I see traffic jams, I always think if how much gas is burning up while the cars just sit there.
Ouch!
In these photos were probably seeing thousands of gallons of gas burning up while those cars barely move at all.

Government “check point” is why there was a traffic jam. Not too different than at Mexico/US or Canada/US boarder crossings. Or any toll road toll booth.
I’m amazed that you can get that many Chinese drivers to stay in their own lane or orderly merge. ;)

Whose the Chinese Governor responsible for this? Probably due to some lane closures for political payback.

The Chineese have a reputation of copying and occasionally improving things.....with this traffic jam concept they have surpassed themselves.

This is just like the Florida Turnpike after an accident except it’s 40 lanes by 5 miles instead of 3 lanes by 150 miles.
