Obama Passes Law BANNING FREE SPEECH: Media “No Longer Allowed To Name Mass Shooter”
Pamela Geller ^ | 10/8/15 | Pamela Geller

Posted on 10/08/2015 2:13:36 PM PDT by Nachum

President Barack Obama held a press conference today to announce signing into law a bill that prevents U.S. media outlets from naming the shooting suspect in any of their news coverage.

This is is tyranny. His illegally seized power cannot usurp our first amendment and the rights of the freedom of the press.

For years Islamic supremacists like Ground Zero mosque imam Feisal Rauf and others demanded that the media stop reporting on jihad terror because it might cause “islamophobia” (euphemism for opposition to jihad terror).

It was unthinkable before Obama.

Now that they have their stooge in the White House, Obama has passed a law prohibiting naming the mass murderers. It is a rout of the Constitution. He has shredded the first amendment. How is this legal?

Under the new law, media outlets will face fines of up to $100,000 for naming in print, online, or over the airwaves, the suspect in a mass shooting, which is categorized as the murder of four or more people.

Apparently Gellar has been snookered by this satirical article:

http://nbc.com.co/obama-passes-mass-shooting-bill-media-no-longer-allowed-to-name-mass-shooting-suspect/

Notice, it’s NOT from nbc.com, but from nbc.com.co, which is apparently a spoof site (scroll down to the bottom of the page and read the fine print carefully).

Thank you for the clarification. Almost had a stroke and mate was going for his gun when the words were read. Neither of us would be surprised that our leader (oh, the dark won) had attempted something such as this. The creature will try anything to bring this nation to its knees.

It is, they changed the domain name minus one character (,co vs .com) and put up a page where this story only works...

The comments from Libs there are priceless

There are lots of emergency powers the POTUS can invoke in the form of E.O., but they are good for only 90 days & come under instant Congressional scrutiny.

Committing troops to war without a declaration of war, for instance. Like Korea & Vietnam. In the case of the latter, LBJ possessed the sheer political horsepower to ram through our extended committment to the Vietnam war. Until his political muscle deteriorated & LBJ refused to run for a second term.

Point: Obama has none of LBJ’s power to intimidate. If he were to issue a truly dictatorial decree, for instance freezing gun sales by shutting down the NCIS background check system, it would kick up a huge hornets’ nest. Members of Congress, no matter their idoelogy, tend to take turf challenges very seriously.

Maybe Obama can’t issue ukazes, but he has publicly wished he could do so.

Apparently, there has been an increase in these .com.co sites. One I've seen a lot of is usatoday.com.co. It definitely is not USA Today.

An article on the subject:

Came from a bullcrap site. Number one, Obama can not pass laws only the Congress can, Obama can sign a law that has passed into effect. Just a casual reading tells you this was a spoof........

Geller got lazy and now looks stupid. I have supported her in the past and probably will again, but this is bad.

Anyone with a brain should immediately know information would have been heard about such a law before it got signed into existence.

This looks like some of the facebook follies I see.

>> This is silly and not true <<

Yeah, but if Trump stays up too late tonight, takes the bait and endorses the idea via Twitter, i guess it will be OK.

[[First of all, O cannot ‘Pass a law.’ on his own.]]

Gay marriage- it’s now the ‘law of the land’ according to him- The supreme court ruled it was a ‘right’ and dear leader came out and declared it the law of the land now-

That was quick. I don’t remember it being passed by the House or Senate. It’s also wildly unconstitutionally. This actually sounds like satire.
