Then if so, again shame on Geller.
When one is part of the “media”, old school or new and alternative, they need to be careful to vet stories and sources.
I recall one time reading a story after Eric Holder left, or was leaving, about him going to work at Goldman Sachs or Lehman Brothers or one of those types of organizations. The article looked “okay” and I was going to post it somewhere until I read the quote from one of the guys who spoke of some of the real screwed up things their group did to cause the economic meltdown in 2008. I thought, “this doesn’t sound right.” A web search confirmed that yep, the web site I was dealing with was a satire site.
Simply wanting something to be true or imagining it can be true doesn’t cut it if you’re going to have a news type blog. You have to be sure. If you’re not, either don’t post it or post it with a disclaimer.
