Why open carry when you can carry concealed?

Tell the bad guy who to shoot first?

Exactly, I won’t carry open.

Now on the other side of the coin, I can’t be prosecuted for accidentally exposing my weapon either. That used to be a problem for CCW holders.

I’m with you.

I don’t care if other people open carry, I just don’t want it to be mandatory.

Why open carry when you can carry concealed?

Because some people are small enough that concealed carry is difficult.

And because free men don't worry about "need to"

I despise those that only see one solution (theirs) to any problem.

Exactly. Why show your cards. My judo sensei made us memorize the three “Ss” — surprise, speed, strength. It is no coincidence that surprise is first.

Oh boy now you’ve done it....

Waiting on all those Cowboys to jump on you for that!

BTW...I agree...You want to be the gray guy...not the red one saying “shoot me” and “here I am”.

I’ve been a licensed ccw in Fla. for a while now and even if I could open carry I would not. Not saying others shouldn’t, just saying my preference is to not.

Having said that, I’m have no problem with passing open carry in Fla. or any other state for that matter. If for no other reason it would make the libs go bananas. :)

Why open carry? Global warming... it's hot here in FL and we don't wear a lot of clothes that conceal an effective weapon. /semi-sarc

Because such laws protect you against charges of 'brandishing' or other such nonsense for inadvertent exposure of a weapon. Personally, I prefer Vermont Carry, but if you're going to have permits, they should cover both open and concealed carry.

Why open carry when you can carry concealed?

Because it's difficult to hide a .45 when I'm wearing a bikini.
