Circulating on the web tonight:
During an appearance on the Alex Jones Show, Drudge asserted that copyright laws which prevent websites from even linking to news stories were being advanced.
I had a Supreme Court Justice tell me its over for me, said Drudge. Theyve got the votes now to enforce copyright law, youre out of there. Theyre going to make it so you cant even use headlines.
To have a Supreme Court Justice say to me its over, theyve got the votes, which means time is limited, he added, noting that a day was coming when simply operating an independent website could be outlawed.
That will end (it) for me fine Ive had a hell of a run, said Drudge, adding that web users were being pushed into the cyber ghettos of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
This is ghetto, this is corporate, theyre taking your energy and youre getting nothing in return nothing!
Sounds like you have a very good and comfortable life there. I can relate a bit....drive an older car and will always do so...I just rent a one for out of town trips.
After living in several major cities I opted for a more settled, calmer small town life, though some might call this a small city....it’s not close really to city life. And I love it!
When the e-mails on Climate Change were released that night I stayed up the entire time online... while various scientists and weather people moved from one site to the other for verification etc. I followed them, as well to get a handle on what was happening....and if true or not.
Remarkably once they began scrubbing information the “teams” out there looking for verification began also to pull off information before it could be scrubbed. It was a real war of securing the information some did not want the public to know. One of the most interesting nights I've had....but it also made me quite aware of the “Information wars” that do occur...and it's far more often then most would imagine.
Same with Propaganda.....you can tell when it starts hitting the Internet...there really is a rhythm to the net and when that gets disturbed you can tell pretty quickly.
Not bad. The hardships come from weather, and with the price of oil (and rig count) going down many of the idiots and jerks from elsewhere are heading south for the winter, if they haven’t left already. Traffic in the region has calmed considerably, and the lines at the stores aren’t so long. No complaints, things are getting back to normal.
Drudge posts only links and a bare-bones synopsis of the subject matter - how can that be a copyright violation? He is actually directing people TO the various websites, giving them free publicity and increasing their “hits”.
