Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is trying to inject life into his campaign for president by hitting two birds with one tweet.
The Republican, who is languishing near the bottom of the pack in polling, stepped up his attacks on front-runner Donald Trump on Friday -- and this time, he included Texas Sen. Ted Cruz in his line of fire.
@TedCruz why won't you stand up to @RealDonaldTrump on single payer healthcare? That's not conservative leadership," Jindal tweeted, with a link to a post on his website.
In the post, Jindal accuses Trump of supporting government-run health care for all, seizing on "60 Minutes" comments from Trump that he would "take care of everybody" and "the government's gonna pay for it."
Jindal labeled it "TrumpCare."
The post takes fellow candidate Cruz to task for not repudiating Trump. Cruz has largely avoided insulting Trump, and Trump has returned the favor.
"Even conservative senators like Ted Cruz are complicit," Jindal wrote. "He has distinguished himself by praising Trump's positions and clinging to his events, in the hope of picking up his votes when he eventually fades."
Cruz's campaign declined to comment.
In the "60 Minutes" interview, Trump said he would replace Obamacare with a much better system.
"I am going to take care of everybody. I don't care if it costs me votes or not," Trump said. "I would make a deal with existing hospitals to take care of people. ... The government's gonna pay for it. But we're going to save so much money on the other side."

Time to exit the stage with class Bobby, and take Rick and HuckaRINO with you.
Jindal, you’d better be getting enough out of your sad yipping to get you through the rest of your life. All you are doing is burning your post election bridges and making enemies of neutrals.
Bobby who?
*snicker*
bump
Jealous?
Ah shaddap, Booby.
No one like you or your damned party.
yeah, like Jindal’s not going to come sniffing around the VP job if Trump wins.
There you go again, Bobby. Criticizing other candidates for what they DIDN'T say.
Yea, it’s sad to see him go this way. He needs to just stop. He can still do a lot of good. He is a pretty strong conservative but he hurt himself a great deal when he went after Trump.
Not sure what elective office Jindal would even attempt after his tenure as Gov. is
complete. Maybe he can get himself an appointed office to some gov’t agency.
I think he is completely owned by the GOPe now. Foolish to have sold out to them. He used to be smarter.
LET ME CHECK THE POLLS— oH YES .8%. kIDDIE TABLE. shut up!!
/sarcastic humor
Hey Bobby, where’s my Slurpee?
Too stupid to be a LEADER under any circumstances.
Who say Cruz supports Trump? Seems to me Cruz is simply running his own campaign. I haven’t heard Cruz denigrate anyone still running, even those that deserve it.
Can't say the same about Jindal and most of the others, unfortunately.
Funny how this election is bringing out the "true colors" of so many.
Bobby the yapping Chihuahua
When I saw a couple of interviews where Jindal could discuss the issues and his way of dealing with them, I really took a liking to him and started to pull for him to gain traction.
But these swipes at Trump and/or Cruz does nothing to make himself look better. I believe it’s out of character for him to do this; he’s getting bad advice.
He may score temporary points with Rove, but at what ultimate cost? It’s best for Jindal to take the longer view.
