Political reality in the hard, cold big leagues mandates a veep candidate bringing with him/her three things....a large, dependable bloc-following (hispanics, evangelicals, whatever), big-bucks donors, and a substantial, dependable electoral college vote in the general election (for example, a veep candidate from Texas or California will score more heavily in the selection process than one from Rhode Island).
Gentle Ben flunks in all aspects, so does Fiorina along with most other names being tossed around in the wind as a vice-presidential selection.
My reasoned guess is that Trump would select none of the above and his running mate would be someone we haven't even thought of and whom we would like VERY much.

I agree that those two should be ineligible for consideration (by us, not technically) for either President or VP. The set of reasons are different — Carson because of inexperience and naivete, Fiorina because she’s just not good in so many ways and she would wilt in a general election.
Yep, you’re right on target there.
More dreams at the expense of Trump...
These people couldn’t assess the dynamics of a local PTA vote.
That’s not entirely true. Dr. Carson has a considerable following among evangelicals.
I agree with your comment above, and the rest of your comment in post #57.
I like Dr. Carson very much and do believe a President Trump might ask him to serve in his cabinet. One thing I am sure about Donald Trump is that he brings into his team the best of the best in whatever they do to get a particular job done. For example, I could see him perhaps asking John Bolton to serve as Secretary of State. Perhaps Rudy or Trey Gowdy as Attorney General. I could picture Dr. Carson serving as Secretary of Health & Human Services.
I do believe the Donald Trump VP choice will be someone very well respected and certainly very capable!
