Asians will beat Hispanics to become America’s largest immigrant population by 2055, according to a Pew Research Center report released Monday. The study estimated the United States' immigrant population by 2065 and noted that the turning point comes in 2055 when 36 percent of the migrants will be from Asia.
Migrants are estimated to account for 88 percent of the increase in the American population between 2015 and 2065, the report stated. Currently, 14 percent of the population comprises immigrants compared to 5 percent in 1965.
"Without the immigrants, the U.S. population would start decreasing," said Pew demographer Jeff Passel, according to Reuters. "The big picture is that immigration has been the major demographic factor driving growth and change in the U.S. population over the last 50 years."
At present, 47 percent of immigrants in the United States are Hispanic, whose number will drop to 31 percent by 2065. Asians, who currently make up 26 percent of the immigrant population, will shoot to 38 percent in five decades, the study showed.
However, no racial or ethnic group will hold a majority in the U.S., the report found. Whites, who currently constitute 62 percent of the country’s overall population, will make up 46 percent of the population in 50 years, whereas Hispanics will comprise 24 percent, Asians will be at 14 percent and blacks at 13 percent. Today, 18 percent of Hispanics, 12 percent blacks and 6 percent Asians constitute America’s population.

Southeast or southwest Asia? It makes a world of difference.
Notice they don’t really say. It does, indeed, make a world of difference. 100 years ago we began a moratorium on immigration to allow the hordes to assimilate. Time for another.
Are Indians considered Asian?
In England, “Asians” are middle easterners. That is what they mean. The Chinese and Koreans will probably leave so we can each enjoy our own personal jihadist. “Asians” will outnumber everyone else (they breed like, well, rapists) if we pretend that they “add” to our country and continue importing them.
At first I believed this, then saw it is based on immigration patterns nearly 40 years from now...

If they’re referring to Indians, Chinese. Japanese etc at least they have a work ethic.

There are Chinese in SF in families that've been here for decades who still aren't assimilated.
Cambodians assimilate PDQ.
Syrians, depends. There have been Christian Syrians in the US for @150 years. They DO assimilate.
Chinese assimilate in the second generation, even in SF. And I know this because my kids went to school with them.
The “study” is crude, just a projection of trends.
US Asian immigration is predominantly SouthEast Asian, and that won’t change unless the laws change, as it is mainly family reunification from places that are already large immigrant sources, plus H1bs.
This gives the US a pretty lucky position on Asian immigrants as nearly all are SouthEast Asians plus an extremely smart selection of Hindus.
I don’t see the British troubles with Pakistanis or the French ones with Arabs coming to the US. These will be a tiny proportion in the US as they are today.
Blacks will drop to #3? They sure ain’t gonna likey.

No sign of that, anywhere.
That’s not what “they” mean.
The study is useless as nothing stays linear for 40 years, but the underlying assumption is that Asian is the same sort of Asian that’s coming in already - I.e., Chinese, Filipino, Korean, etc. will be the bulk, with Indians (Hindus) increasing. None of these sources are drying up, there’s plenty available.

In this whole region, only two nations, South Korea and the Philippines, have large Christian communities. The two largest nations, India and China, are Hindu and atheist, respectively, though both have some Christian influence.
The bottom line is that the vast majority of Asian immigrants, even if not Muslim, will not share the Christian faith of our country's past. For all the industriousness and intelligence of many Asians, mass immigration from this continent will further dilute America as a nation and culture founded by European Christians.
