Many within the GOP establishment including Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal and Kentucky Senator Rand Paul are finally waking up to an inconvenient truth. Namely, this election cycle is a season for outsiders. As Donald Trump, Carly Fiorina, and Ben Carson surge in the polls, certain candidates who enjoyed mass quantities of encouragement and support from the Republican old guard are falling by the wayside with increasing speed, like Texas Governor Rick Perry, who many Republicans viewed as a shoo-in for the nomination and who suspended his campaign two weeks ago. Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, a favorite among social conservatives, followed suit a short time later, calling on his fellow republicans to band together and take frontrunner Donald Trump out of contention for the good of the party.

Linda is more likely to come out than get out.
They were naturalized, but after Piyush was born.
Okay. Make it quick.
By the new definition, not the one the founders had in mind when they used it.
Precedent Obama has made it a moot point.
They were still citizens of India at the time
LOL
We can only hope so
You’re absolutely right. What Trump did should’ve been Rand. But like Rubio he got in bed with the Establishment and presto FINITO!
I would hate to see Jindal exit the race. But, reality dictates different.
I do want him to stick around and make a difference, and perhaps try again in the next election cycle. He’s smart and knowledgeable and has more real experience in government than most of those left running. And, he’s actually more conservative than most of the others calling themselves conservative.
I see Carson people going to Trump a lot sooner than any establishment candidate.
So nothing to worry about with a Carson rise.
Trump has been very consistent on cultivating good relationships with Cruz, Carson, Christie. It’s why I suspect his undisciplined antics are a bit of an act.
Jindal and Paul would be great if Trump wasn’t around. I still want Cruz...
Hmmm
“By the new definition, not the one the founders had in mind when they used it.”
Then a little thing called a Constitutional Amendment happened. Whatever the founders had thought about natural born citizen was constitutionally amended, so that the US-born children of blacks and immigrants can be considered natural born citizens and, if they satisfy age and residence limits and win elections, can become Presidents.
Wait. So now RAND PAUL is considered by the Stormtrumpers to be GOPe?
Pot meet kettle!
Of possible interest
AH, Jindal was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on June 10, 1971? Is Louisiana not in the U.S. anymore? LOL
Jindal is a good man and wish him well. Paul is a goof.
No argument on your facts.
Still and under the Constitution, there is no doubt as ‘legal’ immigrants, their child born in the USA is considered a Natural Born Citizen. An anchor baby perhaps, but still an NBC.
All the same, I would not want him as POTUS, unless something deadly happened to Cruz, Donald and maybe even Rubberio. He is a good conservative and very smart, perhaps a significant Cabinet post.
