The commander of the Navy's special warfare units is recommending that the SEALs and combat crew jobs be opened to women, but he warns that women will have greater risk of injury and says the service may be pressured to adjust or lower standards for the jobs.

I continue to counsel my SIL regarding his desire to volunteer for Army Ranger training. Can’t convince him otherwise [ooo-rah] but, that said, I agree with you.
Sounds good, until you realize the nation falls when they fail.

That means working with others to accomplish it, but you have to have a leader who can persuade them.
SEALS training isn’t GI Jane. I cannot envision a woman that could pass that training regimen.
That’s what the left knows too. Once a “right” has been “found” (made up out of thin air) and enacted, people will scream bloody murder if we try to roll it back, including all the “fiscal conservatives” and “libertarians” and “moderates” and “Log Cabin Republicans”, et al. It’s Margaret Thatcher’s famous ratchet effect-when the ship of state gets veered to the left, once the right gets in power, the best they can do is to veer it back to status quo, they never have time (especially with a hostile leftist propagandist media against them) to correct course towards the right.
What we’re seeing is just the beginnng of more of the same.
I am okay with women as SEALs - if the women pass the exact same tests and training that men have always faced to become SEALs. My guess: there are no women alive who could succeed in SEAL selection and training without modifications, not because Navy special forces are sexist but because there are so few men alive who have the upper body strength and the endurance to pass, and women biologically have less of each.
Indicate they will sent in first in any hostile situation, before the men, to advance “equality.”
Then I don’t think you will have any women wanting to be Seals.
