Pope Lays Out Global Marxist Agenda

Socialist Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is ecstatic over the pope’s address to Congress. In a message to his supporters, titled, “Why we must listen to Pope Francis,” he was particularly pleased with the fact that in his address to Congress, “Pope Francis spoke of Dorothy Day, who was a tireless advocate for the impoverished and working people in America. I think it was extraordinary that he cited her as one of the most important people in recent American history.” Day was a Marxist apologist for socialism and communist regimes. We covered this territory in my column, “With Pope’s Help, U.N. Bypasses Congress on Global Socialism.”

With Republican congressional leaders under fire from conservatives for cowering in the face of a Democratic Party onslaught, all that they needed was to roll out the welcome mat for a Marxist pope who would put them further on the defensive. But that’s exactly what happened.

Phyllis Bennis of the Marxist Institute for Policy Studies was right: “Pope Francis’ address to Congress was almost certainly not what John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, and other congressional leaders had in mind when they invited the pope to speak.” Speaking for many on the left, including the pro-abortion lobby, she said, “His clear call to end the death penalty was the only example he gave of protecting the sanctity of life: Even amid a raging congressional debate over Planned Parenthood, he never mentioned abortion.”

The list of left-wing causes in the pope’s address was extensive. Bennis noted “his calls to protect the rights of immigrants and refugees, end the death penalty, preserve the planet from the ravages of climate change, and defend the poor and dispossessed.” And then there was the attack on the policies of peace through

Marxist regimes have only murdered a couple of hundred million of their own citizens. A small price to pay for fairness.

I guess they are fair, in that all of those killed were equally dead.

Isn’t it something, 20 or 30 years ago if you told someone communism is still a threat many would laugh themselves silly at the suggestion. Yet here we are in 2015 with a communist president, a communist pope, and, here in New York City, a communist mayor!

It should be really embarrassing to Democrats, who espouse keeping religion out of governance, to be soooo supportive of this radical Pope. Obviously, mixing religion and politics is ok as long as the religion is championing the tenets of Marxism..

WE SAW IN CUBA THE REAL POPE BERGOGLIO

In Philadelphia the address of Pope Francis centered on freedom, but in Cuba Francis showed his hypocrisy and lack of morals when not a single time pronounced the words liberty or freedom. In Cuba we saw the real Pope Bergoglio. While the Pope brags to be the voice of the poor and the oppressed in Cuba he was the voice of the oppressors. Francis beg for a meeting with Fidel Castro with was described by the Vatican as very friendly and familiar while he did not accept to receive a representation of the pacific dissidents of the Stalinist regime who are the true voice of the enslaved Cuban people. At the end of the meeting with Castro the Pope expressed his deep appreciation for the genocide of the Cuban people who after 56 years make a country that had the higher standard of living in Latin America in 1959 to the poorest and most oppressed in the history of this hemisphere.

As professor Carlos Eire stated: "As Newsweek has observed, seventeen years ago in his homily in Havana, John Paul II mentioned “freedom” seventeen times and “justice” thirteen times. In his homily, Francis did not mention “freedom” or “justice” once. All that Francis said about Cubans was that they are “a people which has its wounds, like every other people.” In other words, Francis told Cubans that they are no worse off than any other people on earth after fifty-six years of economic and political repression, and that they really have nothing to complain about. The closest he came to upbraiding the Castro regime or to calling for an end to the enslavement of the Cuban people was to say: “service is never ideological, for we do not serve ideas, we serve people.”
