The family of the 14-year-old Muslim boy who was led out of school in handcuffs has hired attorneys to get back the homemade clock that administrators mistook for a bomb.
Ahmed Mohamed was suspended after showing his clock to a teacher at his Irving, Texas, high school last week. His case sparked an outcry on social media and attracted the attention of President Obama and a number of tech companies who invited Ahmed to visit.
His family said in a statement Wednesday that it had pulled Ahmed and his two siblings out of the Irving school district "because of religious persecution," and had decided to home-school the kids.

Two Dallas attorneys, Thomas Bowers and Reggie London, have been hired "to pursue Ahmed's legal rights and regain his science project from the Irving Police Department," the statement added.

I wonder what the hardware component of the Boston bombers bombs looked like. We will never know I suppose but I think the explosives were a much larger part of the bundles than the detonators which I took to be some kind of clock mechanism. I don’t know if the investigators ever found out.

The original reports said that one of the police officers involved said “that’s who I thought it was” when he saw Ahmed. Of course, we were supposed to believe that what he really meant was “yep, it’s a dirty brown muslim causing trouble, just like I thought.”
I’m now starting to believe that the kid’s father is well-known in the area for pulling stunts like this, and uses his son so much in the process that the cop knew exactly who the kid was right away.
Will be interesting to see what comes up if anyone decides to do any digging.
They want it back in order to destroy it. That’s for sure.
When wannabe poser “geeks” on tech blogs are still writing that it was a home made clock, the last thing they want is this little SOB to be exposed.
Dont return it. Snap a thousand photos and video so when they try to take you to court, sue them so hard that they will have to flee to the EU with the other “migrants”.

I kid you knot! “Acknowledge creativity” is an actual hashtag these idiots are using in order to try to push back against the rising wave of truth washing away this fairy tale.
All they need to do is buy another clock at Radio Shack, remove it from its case, and voila!.
Check out the #IStandWithAhmed hashtag, though. It’s being flooded with stories about the hoax. Seems like there’s some people left who aren’t completely blinded by confirmation bias after all.
At the very LEAST this budding ‘scientist’/jihadi ought to get a failing grade for bringing a safety hazard to class. The step-down transformer and AC cord aren’t protected to keep him and other observers from getting shocked by this “stroke of engineering genius”. /sarc

Probably, but we’ll see. There’s still the meeting with the president coming up. I’m guessing the plan will be to drop all mention of the clock when it happens.

When I was in about kindergarten, I was given a cheap AM radio that was in a case that looked like Snoopy from the Peanuts. One time I put it in a shoebox that I had drawn knobs and a number display on and put it under a bush that was serving as my latest club house or fort. Later in the day and older neighbor boy came by to tease me about the snoopy radio placed inside the shoebox with the knobs and number display on it. I never got a presidential invite for my “science project”.... Waaah!!!! Waaah!!! Sniffle sniffle....
