The family of the 14-year-old Muslim boy who was led out of school in handcuffs has hired attorneys to get back the homemade clock that administrators mistook for a bomb.
Ahmed Mohamed was suspended after showing his clock to a teacher at his Irving, Texas, high school last week. His case sparked an outcry on social media and attracted the attention of President Obama and a number of tech companies who invited Ahmed to visit.
His family said in a statement Wednesday that it had pulled Ahmed and his two siblings out of the Irving school district "because of religious persecution," and had decided to home-school the kids.

Two Dallas attorneys, Thomas Bowers and Reggie London, have been hired "to pursue Ahmed's legal rights and regain his science project from the Irving Police Department," the statement added.

You know the science project I'm talking about, of course. The one where he popped off the case of a commercial alarm clock and stuck it in a pencil case and was so proud of what he did that he just couldn't wait to skip into school and show it to his teachers and that totally, not at all was a deliberate attempt to provoke a reaction by showing multiple teachers something that was designed to look suspicious.
That one.
I can only hope that the clock is now evidence in an upcoming bomb-hoax prosecution.
Wait just a dang minute. Why get the clock back? The kid is a genius, he can just make another one.
Just go to Radio Shack and buy him a new one. He can remove the four screws and build another fake bomb—perhaps out of a Wonder Woman lunch box this time. That way, the bomb won’t be a threat but the pictures depicting comic book violence would be a threat.
“The kid is a genius, he can just make another one.”
It takes more than 10 minutes to remove the guts of a Radio Shack digital alarm clock and put it into a suitcase.
The little wunderkind is very busy visiting the Rainbow House and Facebook and doesn’t have that kind of spare time.
Too late, Clockmed’s fraudulent “invention” is all over Youtube and everywhere. Doesn’t matter though, this whole thing is an exercise in political correctness.
“science project”— my Aunt Tillie!
A 14 year old geek disassembles a clock and he calls it a science project?
My grandson did this when he was 6 years old. I guess that makes him a genius.
;)
Sure, that'll happen right about the time Obama utters the term Islamic Terrorism
Why doesn’t Clochmed just make another one?
It’s not a clock for telling the time for crying out loud.
It is a rip off from the likes of Radio Shack and it’s a count down clock too. Why put it in a suitcase too.
Nah sorry , but this was all a set up to get money for their trip over to Mecca.
Would be nice when they are refused entry back to here.
I am sure Ahmed will be given a Lifetime Membership to that famous Chicago Bath House:

“an exercise in political correctness.”
And,,, don’t forget that the father of this little beast has run for President of the country he came from. More that once! Now he’s in the news, gets more votes?
...Appearing on HBOs Real Time with Bill Maher on Friday, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban offered a strange detail from his telephone conversation with Ahmed:
I talked to the kid. Hes from Dallas, and Ive talked to the people in the school district. The kid is a super smart kid. Science geek. We talked about science, but while Im talking to him on the phone, as I ask him a question, Tell me what happened because Im curious. Right? His sister, over his shoulder, you could hear, listening to the question, giving him the answer.

Here’s $20, go buy another clock, pull out the screws, and screw it into a pencil box you bought on eBay. $12 parts, $8 for the HUGE amount of labor involved.
I’m being extremely generous here... Watch the video:

I’m hoping against hope that the president takes the opportunity to launch into a glorious sermon about how stupidly the school acted during the little get-together he has scheduled with the kid next month. The icing on the cake would be if he said something like “they acted stupidly” or “racist” or calls on them to apologize. They’ve already had their name dragged through the mud all over the world over this. Hopefully that would be the kick in the pants they need to prosecute the kid like they should.
The clock was not home made. It was disassembled and put in a case.
The linked NBC article states that NO CHARGES have been filed as yet. If the city does not file, expect a bigger $hakedown expecting more than ju$t the 'invented clock'.
