Ted Cruz was on The Late Show with Steven Colbert and the first part of the interview was pretty light-hearted. The second part is when Colbert really started playing to his liberal crowd, even trying to stump Ted Cruz on Ronald Reagan. Gay marriage also came up and Cruz had to set Colbert straight (no pun intended) on his policy position when it comes to gay marriage.
Is Colbert supposed to be funny? Someone cue me when the hilarity ensues. Ted did good, but that stuttering when he answers a question really bothers me. He schooled colbert and his leftist minions in the audience on the Constitution - so that was excellent.
Sarah was a deer in headlights my good man. I think Ted did excellent given being thrown into the den of lions. He hasn’t dealt with this pit of vipers before and I saw Colbert look befuddled as in hmmm.... he has a point when he said what he said about states rights.
Well, I do appreciate Colbert rebuking his audience for attempting to boo him. Cruz was excellent as usual.
He seemed more relaxed like he didnt care about the money anymore. Did you get that too? I swear him and Trump are in cahootz (GOD WILLING!!)

I believe there comes a time when a Presidential Candidate needs to draw the line in the sand about televised appearances like these talk shows if not most have done.
I think it undignified . Don’t get me wrong-Cruz is real #1 pic but that may not happen but it wasn’t only ‘til lil’ barryo forayed into this arena along with his wife.
I think it cheapens the candidate and the Office of the President (presumptive(s))
To say the least FRiend! Our great Senator Cruz turned on his infectious Southern charm and left Colbert stunned (or stuned per the FR lexicon). The audience was packed (pun intended) with those advocating the homosexual agenda thus soon-to-be-President Cruz had his work cut out for him. But he handled it with his characteristic aplomb. Even the Cruz-hating crowd erupted into applause when he spoke of the tyranny of the Supreme Court. They should have canceled the basketball player and the music act and just allocated the entire hour to...
Who ever thought that little creepy punk ass Colbert was funny anyway?
That's a point well taken and programs such as SNL are not good venues. As vile and despicable as Colbert was and is, the segment was for the most part serious. It's not like he played a saxaphone! :)
Although the hissing hostility of lil' Steffy was clear, it wasn't a comedy skit and Senator Cruz didn't countenance Colbert's over-talking. Because Ted Cruz came off so well, I think he made a strong impression on millions who otherwise don't follow news-oriented programs. In short, this was like a class in school and Senator Cruz educated the rabble.
The Supreme Court has made recent decisions that make both sides crazy at times. No telling what the audience was applauding about, maybe Citizens United?
That's one they certainly got right! And even the bumbling RINO Myth Romney was absolutely correct when he stated that "Corporations are people".
I watched the videos and I thought Cruz was great. Colbert is annoying but he wasn’t too bad in the first segment.
He was pathetic in the second segment trying to attack Reagan and Cruz for liking him. Fortunately, Cruz actually knows something about economics and the Reagan accomplishments.
Also, Cruz knows something about the constitution and states rights. He was powerful about the Supreme Court. Why should we let 5 unelected lawyers make law for the whole country.
I think even the liberal audience agreed on that.
I swear i have heard Cruz has 2 brass balls. I have also seen Donald with 2 brass 2 platinum 2 paladium 2 .... well you get my point. I just saw something in Cruz I have never seen before. He called out the donor class.
I think there is something afoot and it makes me do the mr Burn’s excellent phrase.

This is a question I had as well.
First of all, I’m not your good man. I’m female. As far as Ted not used to being thrown into a pit of vipers like this before - are you serious? I’m quite aware of Ted’s background, as I’m sure you are - and he is quite used to being in the lion’s den. Get real!
To his target snarky liberal audience? Sure he is a hoot.
To us? He is a tool. Think about it. A fulcrum. Willing or not, but his desires overTRUMP his abilities. ;-)
Said it before, say it again... Cruz has a set, just walks in and knows he will prevail.
Can’t wait for Donald to do the same tomorrow.
Apparently guys like Colbert and Stewart are hilarious - when you are baked out of your mind.
Sorry maam. You just have a forceful tone in your posts. I am sure we would get along famously.
As far as Ted.... Yes... He has been in front of vipers (SCOTUS). In a den of them as a senator. The media are vipers with succubi on both shoulders.
Ted looked different tonight like there was a weight lifted. He is a great man, probably the greatest up there right now. Listen to how he discussed asking for money. Something changed. He does not have to go to the money succubi anymore is kinda what I heard. If true win win win. Win for us, for him, for Trump in gaining this strength and the country for having 16 years at least to rebuild the crap that Odumdumbo has wreaked upon us.
Peace kind lady...
