The U.S. Secret Service ordered hundreds of parents and their cancer-stricken children out of Lafayette Square on Saturday night, barricading the park for at least two hours and disrupting the groups plans for a candlelight vigil to raise awareness of and research funding for childhood cancer, participants said.
Some of the parents and children expressed hurt and disappointment that the Secret Service and Park Police, citing security precautions, virtually shut down part of a two-day event called CureFest for Childhood Cancer.
We ended up waiting at the gates for two hours, and they never let us in, said Natasha Gould, an 11-year-old from Canada who started a blog after being diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor this year. And to be clear, the entire crowd was half kids. I cried last night in my hotel room because it was my first CureFest, and I couldnt believe people were acting like they dont care about children.
But as the closure continued on, some of the sick children, fatigued by the wait or the need to receive medication, had to return to their hotel rooms, organizers said. Others began crying, and some parents became enraged. Attendees said the group of at least 700 people was not allowed access to personal items they left behind, such as chairs and blankets.
This is personal to me. “Go Gold for Childhood Cancer” is the theme for September Childhood Cancer Awareness month.
The Empire State Building, which will go multiple colors for everything from gay causes to sports teams has refused to go gold for childhood cancer. Their choice, but it’s so cold in its decision making.
And now the rainbow white house kicks cancer-stricken kids out when they try to ‘go gold’ with hundreds of candles.
Childhood cancer is scary...deadly...but what have these little kids done.
Lauren Hill, deceased now, basketball player who raised over a million bucks for childhood cancer, and herself a childhood brain cancer patient, wasn’t considered for ESPN’s ‘courage in sports award’, but it went instead to Bruce Jenner, who’d donned a skirt and makeup to help beat a traffic death charge.
If they were sick Muslim children, they would have been ushered right into the WH to meet the Imam-in-Chief.
Didn’t that happen because of Da Pope’s visit?
He doesn’t arrive until Wednesday. This was (quietly) Saturday night.
The Praetorian Guard acted stupidly.
Remember when they shut vets out of national parks, but let the illegals hold a rally..
It’s perfectly simple: They’re kids. They cannot vote for Democrats. Therefore they are non-entities.
Cynical, yes, trite, yes, but it fits the facts...
“And now the rainbow white house kicks cancer-stricken kids out when they try to go gold with hundreds of candles.
Childhood cancer is scary...deadly...but what have these little kids done.”
They were born. That is enough for the opponent of BAIPA.
Yes. Saw some pictures of that again last night on a different thread.

Yes, too late. These FedGov Nazis need to be punished.
They had no problems letting muslims gather there
The hell with that. Where is the White House’s apology?
(CRICKETS)
It’s a fallen world, Padre. It’s best we simply pray. It’s easy to pray for our sick children and hard to pray for those who would choose the likes of a Bruce Jenner over them, but praying for them is precisely what we must do if we are to fulfill our created purpose and become like God.
“Remember when they shut vets out of national parks, but let the illegals hold a rally..”
Saw a show on TV the other day, and it was about illegal aliens who were angrily demanding a better standard of living at my expense, as though they had a right to it.
CIC reports all stations manned and ready.
“These FedGov Nazis need to be punished.”
Bureaucrats have a level of immunity that diplomats could envy.
Who is going to punish them?
There are ways.
As for me, I pray for good health and good luck for the cancer kids and their parents.
For the FedGov commies, I pray for bad cess.
did they have a permit
