Bill Maher Does Not Stand With Ahmed Mohamed: Young Muslims ‘Blow S--- Up’ (contains profanity)

On Wednesday, the Internet rallied support for a bright 14-year-old boy, Ahmed Mohamed, who was arrested for bringing a homemade clock to school. Ahmed was proud of his invention, but school officials and police in Irvine, Texas, did not feel the same way. Ahmed found support from big leaguers like President Obama, who tweeted his well wishes, and the original clockmaster himself, Flavor Flav, who told the world to “STOP clock blocking.” Everyone loves Ahmed except for Bristol Palin and — you guessed it — Bill Maher.

On Friday evening’s episode of Real Time With Bill Maher, the host assured his panel that he would not be throwing the #IStandWithAhmed hashtag anytime soon. Maher believes Ahmed deserves an apology from school officials, but he knows why this happened: “People at the school thought it might be a bomb … because it looks exactly like a f---ing bomb.” Maher’s statement was met with instantaneous audience laughter.

He is unique in Hollywood in that regard. He is, in fact, so fierce on the issue I'm surprised no one has tried to do him harm.

He's the only liberal I can honestly say is consistent, and actually applies liberal values to Islam.

When I was a kid, I mounted the contents of a battery-powered radio inside a clear plastic case. I hooked up a solar cell for power and drilled a bunch of holes so the speaker could be heard.

The thing looked nice and it worked when placed in sunlight.

Does that mean I invented a radio?
