A Texas Whataburger employee was fired Wednesday for refusing to serve two police officers in what the company is describing as an appalling incident.
Officers Michael Magovern and Cameron Beckham were working off-duty security at a construction site on I-35 early Wednesday morning when they decided to stop at the restaurant in Lewisville, FOX 26 reports.
Magovern said before he could even place his order, the man behind the counter told him We dont serve police officers.
The two officers decided to leave and went and got food at Dairy Queen instead.
"We were appalled to hear of an employee refusing service to two officers, as we have proudly served first responders across our system for decades, Whataburger said in a statement Wednesday. As soon as we heard of this isolated incident, we began our own internal investigation overnight. The employee that refused service is no longer employed with Whataburger. We've also invited the officers back today so we can apologize in person and make this right."

errrmmmm.... thats one of the two officers.
Well, color me surprised
Don’t know anything about him but in the Era of Baraq, fast food is the new middle class career.
Thanks for clearing that up. My previous comment stands.
If the ex employee isnt black the you can bet they facial piercings and rainbow colored hair.
“isolated incident”
It is always an “isolated incident”. Who the heck ever believes that?
Good! Glad they fired him!!
I hope the cops saved his name so when he calls them for help. they’ll refuse service.
But better expressed than "watch" would be "keep tabs on" the guy.
Follow any social media the guy has.
Circulate among regional LE the man's photograph, address, make and photo of vehicle, any known habits, lists of associated.
Do not contact. No shake downs. Be smart, not paranoid, and don't let the guy know a thing...
I need a burger, it's for a cop!
“Do we have liter cola? What’s a liter cola.”
Based on the fact that they (1) very quickly fired him and (2) very publicly apologized, I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
One of the best damned movies ever.
The snozzberries taste like snozzberries!
Maybe the guy was concerned about his health ?- he doesn’t need a burger
No doubt hussein will invite him to the White Hut along with the jihadist yute from Irving. To the regime, they're both heroic figures.
US Attorney is a fed employee. Hate crimes by blacks against whites are not prosecuted by this administration.
Maybe the guy was concerned about his health ?- he doesnt need a burger

Maybe he was gonna get the Apple-Cranberry Salad.
What kind of help? Unless some criminal involvement they pretty much fill out a report that the insurance companies use.
WHAT? A Whataburger employee refused to serve policeman???
Absolutely surreal!
He SHOULD have been fired!
By the way, when I see a few policeman in a restaurant or somewhere, I often go up to them and say ‘I just want you to know I support and appreciate you and I want to thank you for laying your lives on the line everyday to protect us’. They usually smile and thank me profusely.
Also, if you’ve never been to Texas, stop by a Whataburger.
They make the best hamburgers in the world.
