Who better to replace celebrity turned politician Donald Trump as host of NBCs "Celebrity Apprentice" than celebrity turned politician Arnold Schwarzenegger?
No one, according to NBC.
The network announced Monday morning that the former California governor will take over the seat relinquished by the GOP presidential front-runner when the show returns to the air next year.
I have always been a huge fan of The Celebrity Apprentice and the way it showcases the challenges and triumphs of business and teamwork, Schwarzenegger said in a statement. I am thrilled to bring my experience to the boardroom and to continue to raise millions for charity. Lets get started!"
"Arnold Schwarzenegger is the epitome of a global brand in entertainment and business, and his accomplishments in the political arena speak for themselves, NBC said in its own statement. "The Celebrity Apprentice will be back!
UPDATE, 12:45 p.m.: Former Apprentice host Donald Trump tweeted words of congratuations at Schwarzenegger shortly after NBC's announcements, saying he believe his replacement will "be great & raise lots of [money] for charity."
Trump also apologizes to his fans for being unable to continue with the show, blaming "equal time" for forcing him to stand down.

He only has a difficulty speaking when he feels like it (the thickness of his accent varies drastically), and he’s got a long enough run in Hollywood to show he can clearly connect. And really the ratings of the show had been dropping pretty hard, bumped up some when they moved it to Mondays. Even up the show was only drawing 6 million viewers, it clearly needed a change even before they decided to dump Trump. Worst case scenario for NBC a show that was already on its last leg doesn’t improve.
Just because he couldn’t run CA doesn’t mean he can’t manage. Most of his businesses are successful, and his biggest failures are the ones where he had the least control. He’s at least as good a business man as Trump, and not nearly as fond of being an @#$hole.
Schwarzenegger is no idiot. He is a man of extraordinary drive and accomplishment. He used to be one of my heroes.
That said, he was a disaster as governor, when he proved to be a champion RINO. I figured that he, more than anyone, would act to restore freedom and limited government, because he was living proof of what an individual could accomplish in America.
But I was wrong. His time as governor broke my heart, because he was such a colossal disappointment. I have never forgiven him for that.
But no way the man is an idiot.
Interesting suggestion. Cuban would certainly qualify. I do agree that he isn’t as charismatic. Sometimes he can be downright annoying. I’m sure some folks thought the same of Trump, but he did keep the show interesting until he left.
LOL
I caught that...
The come back from commercial break and Arnold has the Latina cleaning woman up on the desk going at it.
LMAO!!
I wouldn't be surprised if he actually used "Hasta La Vista, Baby", but I like your suggestion better.

Which raises the question:
Is it ???ist if you insist your Puerto Rican housekeeper use 'Spic and Span'?
Another huckster, another CIAO.

Annnnd there it is.
We shall see about Arnold, and we shall see about Trump. In the meantime, keep pumping whatever non-@#$hole you prefer. The only good ones are not gaining traction and would lose to the GOPe when all was said and done.
I used to like Arnold but now when I see his face I think cheater.
Facts are facts, and the fact is Trump’s public persona for as long as he’s had one has been built around being abrasiveness, irritating, and confrontational. That’s always been a big part of the marketing of both Apprentice shows, Trump belittling and shaming people for no good reason other than somebody told him it makes good TV.
I don’t like any of them. It’s a pathetic candidate pool. As shown by the fact that a guy who has held every possible position on every issue at least once and changed parties 5 times can be leading it. Nobody actually has any idea what the heck Trump stands for because he’s just out there waving around his TV persona. I’ll give him this though, given the frequency with which he changes parties if he actually does win there’s a good chance he’ll be the first sitting president to change parties in over 150 years. That could be really interesting. Not necessarily good, but interesting.
You’re terminated.
