Donald Trump On Carly Fiorina "I'm talking about persona. I'm not talking about look."
You Tube ^ | September 10, 2015

Posted on 09/10/2015 4:37:19 AM PDT by Cincinatus' Wife

He says it's not what he said, then he says it's what he says.

It's creepy.

Video

"During a Thursday morning interview on "Fox and Friends," Trump was asked if he did in fact make the comments quoted in Rolling Stone.

The real estate mogul first noted that "the pictures in the magazine were magnificent" and that "overall, it was probably a pretty good story."

He then said, "Probably I did say something like that about Carly," adding later that he said it "in a jocular manner." He also said it wasn't about her appearance.

"I’m talking about persona. I’m not talking about looks," he said on Fox. TPM

Who would you trust?

Someone who calls it like he sees it, or someone who is afraid to say what he believes out loud ?

Ok then, what’s that 50/50 about in your handle? 50 what and the other 50 what? Inquiring minds could surmise...

It was a careless, maybe stupid comment, IMO. Carly has survived cancer. In 2008, when I met her, she was quite attractive, frankly. In any case, commenting about a woman’s face is gauche. I’ll take her over any Democrat, but right now she is far from my favorite.

I recall the passes given to the vicious comments made by DemoncRATS about female Republicans/Conservatives (e.g., Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann); and then I see the media getting its collective knickers in a twist over this.

Columnists, reporters, talking heads, comedians, and people who post anonymously on the Internet get away with everything. Actual presidential candidates are held to a higher standard and get away with less.

If it is Jeb vs. Trump, I'll take Trump all day long. If it is Cruz vs. Trump, I'm with Cruz.

Cruz is the only guy on the radar who qualifies for my tagline.

Voting for Trump is way too big a crap shoot.

So not wanting Trump is tacit resignation to the status quo.

On your planet, maybe.

On planet Earth, my tagline captures a mathematical certainty.

There are a few of us around here to are stunned at the lack of reason of most Trump FR supporters. It's mind blowing.

With ya on that one, CEW.

But we're on board with Trump if it ever comes down to Trump V GOPe, period. We are the few, the proud, the reasonable.

And you voted for Romney last time, too, right?

You're right about your being among being "the few" -- it's why he lost, I expect.

Me, after 35 years of voting "against," finally accepted the truth of my reasonable tagline. And you might say that I'm proud that the balance of fellow Americans were, as I was, more loyal to God than to the GOP.

Nobody knows, not even Trump, what they're voting for when they vote for him.

Unfortunately he is the only medicine that can cure the status quo blues.

Where did you get your Kool-Aid?

Good grief.

Been there, done that. I once had the same high hopes and dreamy faith in Arnold Scwarzenegger.

Oh -- yawn.

Winning WHAT?

Winning America a Republican administration that's fundamentally on board with the concept of single-payer health care (government oversight)?

Winning America a Republican administration that upholds government oppression of religious freedom (forcing homosexual "rights" cradle to grave)?

Winning WHAT? A laundry list of hopes, wishes, and expectations fulfilled by an American television billionaire celebrity showman?

*yawn* "You're fired."

His mouth is going to sink him when he is personalizing the insults, especially towards women. Stick to the issues DT.

My feeling as well. The establishment won't bring him down - if he does, it will be because of his mouth.

Actually, I do have a mind and a brain, my IQ is 141, not to boast. What you lack is a sense of humor... and, of course, the good sense to understand that ALL of the politicians running for office are LIARS. How many times to they have to pull the football away from you Charlie Brown? Even Bro. Cruz voted for Obamatrade when all of the democrats and a couple of principled Republicans voted against it. Politicians, as Mr. Trump has said, are ‘owned’ and they will all keep selling us down the river.

Reasonable observation. I guess the point was that some in the press have taken a “how dare he” position, but could care less when any number of people make fun of his appearance. But, as you point out, I can’t think of any candidate who has done it.
