Donald Trump took shots at several of his fellow Republican presidential candidates in a Rolling Stone profile published on Wednesday, but it’s his comments about Carly Fiorina’s physical appearance that are attracting the most attention....
“Look at that face!” he cries. “Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?!” The laughter grows halting and faint behind him. “I mean, she’s a woman, and I’m not s’posedta say bad things, but really, folks, come on. Are we serious?”
Asked what she believes Trump meant by the comment about her face, Fiorina said “I have no idea.”
“Honestly, Megyn, I’m not going to spend a single cycle wondering what Donald Trump means. But maybe, just maybe, I’m getting under his skin a little bit because I am climbing in the polls.”
Fiorina was far from the only GOP contender that Trump mocked in the Rolling Stone article.
Moments before his comment about Fiorina, Trump and his aides appeared to joke about Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s mental acuity.....

I would agree it was a mistake.

I believe Trump could take out most of his competitors with a challenge to them to reveal who their donors are and have been.
22 so far....I’ve been over whelmed - it could easily be 2-3X that many.
Off top of head, about 4-5 reasonable supporters.
And I would say 80% of the anti Trump folks on FR will support Trump if it ever comes down to him and Jeb, and certainly Trump v any Democrat. I would say that about 20% of that group is so turned off by the anti-intelligence bot universe that they may not vote Trump under any circumstances.
I would say the number of Freepers who support Jeb is absolute ZERO. And yet, that’s the main argument from the Trump bots, demonstrating the sheer absurdity of their thinking.

I do not know that is what Trump meant, that is how I took it. He could have meant she was ugly but that is not what I got from it. I can believe Thatcher was respected by her contemporary islamists but that is because she demonstrated that she was willing to actually use her armed forces when the UK defeated Argentina. I think they probably respected Golda Meir also. There were not as many different groups of islamo crazies around at that time and they were not as violent as they are now. I think radical Islam has gotten a lot more publicly hard line since the 1980s. I do not believe islamic leaders take Merkel seriously at all, especially after she responded to the ongoing islamic invasion of Germany by offering to take 800,000 of the invaders this year and 500,000 a year after that. I do not think that is a response that will make them respect her.
I don’t think there’s a bit of what they think of Merkel that is based on her sex.
And the very last thing we should do anyway is to rule out half our population for leadership because of what Islamists think.

Trump was on Fox & Friends this morning, and said he was talking about Carly’s persona...not her looks. He praised the Rolling Stone magazine article and the author, who Trump said was a nice, good guy. but...he added that the article writer got pulled into the RS editor’s office an was told to put as much dirt & lies in the article as possible (Standard operating procedure for Obamabot, low life, Rolling Stone Magazine)!!!
Also, “The Donald said......the pictures in the article of him were outstanding....the best of him that were ever taken!!! Onward....Mr. Trump!!! Carly bad mouthing you has caused her to drop to just 3% in this morning’s CNN poll...Trump gets 32% of the vote!!! Between Trump, 32% & Carson, 19%...these two ‘outsiders have a majority of 51% of all Republican primary voters...and climbing!!!
How do you read Trump’s face?
I think Trump's face is so ubiquitous that people trust that they know him to be exactly who he is.
He is like an uncle who simply is who he is and says what he thinks.
He's not at all polished, but he is exactly what you see.
Even his children are mortified by him.
But as everyone says, Trump is Trump.
