I do not know that is what Trump meant, that is how I took it. He could have meant she was ugly but that is not what I got from it. I can believe Thatcher was respected by her contemporary islamists but that is because she demonstrated that she was willing to actually use her armed forces when the UK defeated Argentina. I think they probably respected Golda Meir also. There were not as many different groups of islamo crazies around at that time and they were not as violent as they are now. I think radical Islam has gotten a lot more publicly hard line since the 1980s. I do not believe islamic leaders take Merkel seriously at all, especially after she responded to the ongoing islamic invasion of Germany by offering to take 800,000 of the invaders this year and 500,000 a year after that. I do not think that is a response that will make them respect her.
I don’t think there’s a bit of what they think of Merkel that is based on her sex.
And the very last thing we should do anyway is to rule out half our population for leadership because of what Islamists think.
I think your views on female leaders are unfortunate—and I”m quite sure Trump doesn’t share them.
