During Fox News’ live coverage of Kentucky clerk Kim Davis‘ release from prison, anchor Shepard Smith suddenly spoke over the press conference to chastise Davis and those who supported her decision to refuse to issue gay marriage licenses.
“They set this up as a religious play again,” he said. “This is the same crowd that says, ‘We don’t want Sharia law, don’t let them tell us what to do, keep their religion out of our lives and out of our government.’ Well, here we go again.”
“When this started, this lawyer said he needed an accommodation for a woman who wanted one. She said she didn’t want her name on a license for gay people,” Smith said. “Now they’ve come up with one, they’ve let her out of jail… But it’s not what they want.”
“This is what they want, what you’re hearing now and this what they’re going to get: stirred up argument and a couple of days in the news cycle, and they’re going to be able to make these claims.”
Smith argued the Supreme Court had already ruled on the issue of gay marriage, and the issued was settled. “This is not unprecedented. They did it when they said black and white people couldn’t marry.”
In the end, he concluded, “Haters are going to hate. We thought what this woman wanted was an accommodation, which they’ve granted her, something that worked for everybody. But it’s not what they want.”

Did we all hear Shep actually say haters gonna hate? Unreal!
That’s why I don’t watch this a$$hat anymore... period. In fact, I’m watching One America News (OAN) more now than ever. I even quit watching The Five because of Whorealdo’s frequent appearances.
I can’t stand either one.

I was so disgusted I caged the channel to CNN but to no avail, CNN also controlled the "news" by not letting their audience hear what Davis's attorney was saying either. They stuck the video of the attorney in a small box WITHOUT AUDIO so that their audience could not hear what he was saying either!
Fox's Shep Smith along with the talking head bimbo attorney's proceeded to talk over Governor Huckabee when he spoke as well, then they cut him off. To CNN'S credit, they aired ALL of Huckabee's remarks in there entirety.
This incident served an important reminder as to why I have not been watching Fox News; they are no different from the rest; Fox "News" and the overwhelming majority of their "news" staff do not support America, American interests, or conservative American, Judeo-Christian morals, ethics or values the country was and still founded upon.

I make it a point not to pay much attention to IDIOTS like Shep Smith. He has proven himself too ignorant on most subjects to bother with.I still like to watch Megan Kelly
she is wildly attractive and reasonably smart —but she is still asking the questions the Liberals suggest she ask.

Shemp and Whorealdos coverage of Katrina did me in on FOX. Went from having it on at least one of my TVs all day to not having it on for 10+ years.

Agree. Had to watch The Five tonight to get their take on the situation. Horrible (as I’d expected). Pretty much the same crap as what Shep was spewing.

This is just one instance, there will be many more and city clerks throughout the country will have to choose between their conscience and their jobs. America should not be a country where you have to choose between your conscience and your job, especially at a moments notice. Many people have worked at city clerk jobs for many years never dreaming in their wildest dreams that one day there would be this strange thing called “gay marriage” that would shake the country to its moral foundations and that they would be required to go along with it or quit their jobs.
We don’t know the financial situations that these clerks have. Many have mortgages to pay like most of us, their spouse might be out of a job, jobs may be hard to come by in their area or there may be severe illness in the family. Regardless they will have to make that difficult decision and they will probably feel guilt if they decide to give out gay marriage certificates.
