Could have said that last week ‘your majesty’.

I don't know if Bunning had an epiphany, or if the 6th Circuit did. But on bedrock judicial principles, incarceration is an inappropriate remedy for conscientious objection.
This optic in the narrative must have polled badly.

Hope they still hold the rally to draw attention to this out of control judge.
He knew others in her office would issue licenses when he threw her in jail.
He needs to be voted out of office at the first opportunity.

Actually, he is still afoul of the law, then. Deputy clerks cannot issue licenses on their own authority, and use of her signature (even by stamp) against her will is fraudulent.
This isn’t over yet.
Did the Supreme Court ruling say that all states must approve these marriages regardless of state laws prohibiting it?
Or did it say that if you get married in one state, it is simply recognized in all others?

Didn’t the Court say that her Signature wasn’t required on the Certificate to make it valid?
If that’s the case, how could she be Jailed for non-compliance?

I hope it is because she was following the law.She was. The Court decision is not a law and could perhaps nullify the state law but it can’t bind the elected clerk to violate existing law.
