TRUMP: US SHOULD ‘HELP AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE,’ WITH REFUGEE CRISIS, ‘POSSIBLY’ LET SOME IN
Breitbart ^ | 5 SEPT 2015 | IAN HANCHETT

Posted on 09/07/2015 12:37:22 PM PDT by South40

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump stated that while “There’s only so much we can do. We have to fix our own country” the US should “help as much as possible” with the European refugee crisis and “possibly” let some refugees into the US on Friday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

Trump was asked about the European refugee crisis and, “Should we be letting some of those people into this country?”

He answered, “So horrible on a humanitarian basis when you see that. It’s like incredible what’s going on. But, you know, we have so many problems. And the answer is possibly yes, Cokie, possibly yes.

The ‘refugees’ have been created for a purpose by the Western elites:

http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-18519395

http://cmsny.org/address-by-sir-peter-sutherland-on-migration-as-a-moral-issue/

Check that date. 2012.

Kind of like ‘so let it be written so let it be done’.

And they did it.

And now here we are...

Bend over...your ‘national solidarity’ is a threat to the global elites. They’re in the process of ‘fixing’ that threat right now.

Trump stands no chance of winning.

All he would get done is more liberal Dem nonsense.

The things you think Trump would get done are the things that he is least likely to.

Trump is a 14 year old boy in the body of Daddy’s billionaire son.

He’s the white Obama, as your words prove.

Sorry friend. It was all done in OUR name. That would be the US. Both Democrats and Republicans signed off on that Libyan action(see Operation Zero Footprint). And the continuing Syrian action. That destabilization(Arab Spring) that you talked about started in Egypt from rising food prices. A result of the US exporting it’s inflation to those countries whose monetary systems were pegged to the dollar. A perfect storm for Islamist to take advantage of. As for wiping IS from the face of the earth, ya we should, being we helped create them. And supply them.(See Republican McCain) We seem to be good at ‘pasteing’ people when we want to, it’s just that our follow-up lacks lately-—Iraq anyone. As for American moral superiority, go sell that to the Kurds. And the multitude of Christians being slaughtered throughout North Africa and the ME with nary a peep from ANY of our politicians. By the way, when I refer to morals, I’m NOT referring to individual Americans, but to our representatives that sit in that sh-t hole known as DC. Both Dims and especially Repubs. But then again WE THE PEOPLE are the reason they are there. Some of whom have been reelected multiple times. As for posting on DU, well it would be a different plantation......

I have no doubt that many of these ‘refugees’ were created for other ‘purposes’. Just like the story of the Syrian child that drowned while ‘fleeing’ fighting was doctored for a purposed agenda. It’s just that the present US leadership from BOTH parties are part of that ‘Western elite’ and unless WE THE PEOPLE rise up and say enough is enough then we are contributing to the problem. Trump has hinted that he might change things up. Considering he is not controlled by money interests outside of himself, maybe he will present a new agenda for the country.....or not. Every other candidate is controlled by money not their own so their interest has a greater chance of not being our interest.

I can’t see that dead toddler washed up on the beach and not want to help in some way-

Really?
How about if his family had been living in TURKEY for the last 3 years, and the only reason the father was going to Europe was for free DENTAL CARE?

So he risks his family’s life, by putting them all in a small dinghy, on the ocean, it flips over, kills everyone in his family, so he can get his teeth fixed for free.

Please see Rush’s web page for back up on this story.

We don’t need any of these potential terrorists in this country.

Ever ask yourself why the richest countries in the world aren’t allowing them in? Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, etc?
Maybe because they don’t need to form a caliphate there.

Anything else everyone wants to defend Trump on?

Very well, our points of view seem to be aligning. I have a difficult time surrendering ‘me’ and like-minded conservatives to the likes an ‘our’ when ‘our’ includes the likes of these self-centered pigs who wallow in dirty money and corrupt-laden power in the DC Beltway trough. The betrayal of the GOPe really did us all in, that’s for sure. I will concede only in as much as it is difficult, outside of this forum, to distinguish conservative, rightfully rebellious WE from the collective US WE. In FR land I feel as distant from dominant american establishments; media, uniparty, et al, as Pluto is from the sun. Convincing anyone that obama acted in our interest and for the good of the country, similar to Bush’s motives in Afghanistan and Iraq (ostensibly) would be a never-ending firefight and I don’t think that’s your take but, from a purely legal perspective, we do bear a moral obligation to clean up the mess. That mess starts with the destruction of ISIS and compelling like-minded muslim oil states, repleat with financial resources, to come to the aid of their spiritual brothers. We must also save Europe (for the third time) from its own destruction - bt that’s probably an idealistic pipe dream. Later.

I never hated Free Republic. During the last primary a lot of posters resorted to meanness and personal attacks.

I don’t remember who they were, although I had a list at that time.

I thought the moderators were lax in stopping some of the more outrageous personal attacks and I still think so. I am charter member of Free Republic. I joined the same day Jim did.

This is the best political forum on the Net ... I’ve always thought so. I stayed away for a while but I have not been active on any other political forum unless you call Facebook a political forum.

I know Jim likes to keep it ‘free’ and allows people to say what they think. I hope the bitterness doesn’t rise up again during this primary season.

Nice to be remembered, South40, sorry I don’t remember you.

I’d better try and change his mind but he’s one to make a decision and stick to it.

He doesn’t follow things as closely as people here do.

He thinks Trump is in it to split the vote.

I once believed that too but not anymore.

I figured why worry? I mean it’s not like Carson has any real staying power.

All of the candidates have their flaws.

I like Ted Cruz too like so many others here do.

But that Goldman Sachs connection really bugs me.

Nice to be remembered, South40, sorry I don’t remember you.

You can claim you don't remember me but we both know that isn't true. I remember you, as do many. We remember how you turned against this forum and its owner because we did not support Mitt Romney. You targeted me and others with your hatred. Moreover, you went to your newfound home of FR haters (True Blue Lunacy, was it?) and shared your hatred for this forum, its owner and all here. Here's a refresher for you, Ms. Snarky.

(Posted by altura, May 4, 2012). "I was pleased when I saw the truce thread, but it turned out to be bull stuff. It's exactly the same there. I think Jim was indicating that he wouldn't zot in the hope of getting more contributions. Their contributions haven't moved a dollar in a week. But I scanned the thread and it's the same old BS. You cannot reason with those people and it's sickening to try. By the way, I am using my screen name from over there, maybe it was a mistake but it's done now and at this point I don't really care what the insane asylum does about me.

(Posted by altura, May 16, 2012) "Jim R. never posted or interfered much back in those days. I have totally lost respect for him because it's obvious that his pathological hatred of Romney has caused him to lose all perspective and he would actually rather see Obama win than Romney. I am convinced of that. And now the site is just weird. I checked it out yesterday. Very few threads of general and political interest were started. Most of those had 2 to 20 replies. On the other hand, the threads of the inbred idiocracy just kept going on and on up to 700 posts with the same people saying the same thing. I really think a Jim Jones mentality has set in over there".

I knew the day you left that in spite of your hatred for this forum and its owner, you'd be back.

Welcome back, Ms. Snarky.

Yeah. Cruz Goldman Sachs connection and his vote for the TPP/TPA in my opinion was not a coincidence. It’s a big concern of mine. Good luck with your son but I just don’t trust Carson. He aligns himself with Al nosoSharpton and praises him. Not good. I will vote for Trump!

Me too.

I’m in it for Trump all the way.

So is my husband and everyone he knows.

My husband bought two each of yard signs, license plate frames and bumper stickers. He’ll vote for the nominee but he doesn’t go in for all that stuff usually.

I think Trump is in it to save what he spent his life building.

At the rate this country is going, anyone with even a pot to piss in stands to lose it all.

Maybe Trump can start turning this mess around.

If he’s sincere, I would even go so far as to say he should stock his cabinet with nothing but the best people who want to save America and not one of them a politician.

He’s got to know a lot of really smart people with unsurpassed expertise in all the necessary areas

What he falls short on will be delegated to very capable individuals, I’m sure.

I don’t know why you keep posting to me but thanks for the link to the FOX video. However I already had read the full interview and this video only took few statements out of it and it didn’t reflect what Cruz ultimately said. Just like people were accusing others of doing to Trump’s statement.

Cruz is not in favor of bringing Syrian refugees to the US. He proposes that humanitarian aid be given through private & international organizations. I hope this will help you out. Here is what he said in a statement he released:

“The migrant crisis from the Middle East and North Africa demands our urgent attention. The United States has a long history of response to humanitarian disasters and this should be no exception. Our immediate role should be to support our regional allies who are on the front lines through public and private assistance to the international organizations who are best poised to administer aid.

“In terms of settling the migrants, if the ultimate goal is to return them to their homes, which I believe it should be, it doesn’t make sense from a logistical or a security standpoint to move large numbers of them to far-off countries like the United States.

“Ultimately, we need to address the cause of this crisis or we will just have more and more migrants displaced.

“Bad actors like Turkey’s Erdogan and Russia’s Putin, both of whom have contributed tangentially to this crisis, announced this week that the West is to blame. This is disingenuous at best. The blame should be laid squarely at the door of the vicious, radical Islamism that is tearing communities apart from Libya to Syria and Iraq, creating the terrible circumstances that are causing the migrants to flee their homes. The failure of the United States has been an unwillingness to name and confront this threat.

“The regime in Tehran and their proxies may be Shiite and ISIS and its affiliates Sunni, but they are the cause of this problem. They are branches of the same poisonous tree – radical Islamism. Until we recognize the threat from this savage, twisted totalitarian ideology and develop a coherent strategy to combat it, we will at best be putting a Band-Aid onto a life-threatening wound.”
