TRUMP: US SHOULD ‘HELP AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE,’ WITH REFUGEE CRISIS, ‘POSSIBLY’ LET SOME IN
Breitbart ^ | 5 SEPT 2015 | IAN HANCHETT

Posted on 09/07/2015 12:37:22 PM PDT by South40

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump stated that while “There’s only so much we can do. We have to fix our own country” the US should “help as much as possible” with the European refugee crisis and “possibly” let some refugees into the US on Friday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

Trump was asked about the European refugee crisis and, “Should we be letting some of those people into this country?”

He answered, “So horrible on a humanitarian basis when you see that. It’s like incredible what’s going on. But, you know, we have so many problems. And the answer is possibly yes, Cokie, possibly yes.

No, it is not everyday that something new has to be excused. It is everyday that people create something in their mind about Trump to be offended about or to try and distort.

"“Not there yet” was in reference to you, genius. "

I know. You, however, were dense enough to take my post seriously.

"I have yet to struggle supporting Trump, as opposed to you, who has nothing to offer but venom, bile, and snot."

You're struggling. Trust me.

Karl Rove is calling Trump a liberal and Jeb Bush a conservative. Hmmm...

Didn’t you read my tag-line? Along with calling people haters another very common line Trump supporters will use when criticized is “Well tell me then who are YOU supporting?” This is so they can turn the attention away from the topic at hand and proceed to spout their own dislike of your chosen candidate.

I have already posted on the accomplishments of Ted Cruz. I could write another post about what he has done and some of the cases he argued before the SC and won that made a big difference. One of them was when GWB wanted the US to bow to the International Court of Justice (Medellin case). He represented, pro bono, veterans groups in the Salazar v. Buono case while in private practise. This was the case of the crosses honoring veterans in the Mojave Desert.

He has shown his support of the military time and again, most recently fighting for and winning the battle to award the purple heart to victims of the Fort Hood Massacre.

He defended the 10 Commandments monument in the Texas Capitol in Van Orden vs Perry and won.

He presented an amicus brief defending the 2nd amendment in The District of Columbia vs Heller.

This is one way to vet a candidate. I could post another mile-long post listing his accomplishments and conservative actions.

I have kept records on the candidates and have used them to compare and have chosen my candidate that way. My guy hasn’t always been 100% right IMO. But as many Freepers like to point out, none of the candidates are Jesus Christ. I ask myself, who has been the most conservative? Who has aligned with my beliefs most of the time? Who has the best record to support what they say? How consistent have they been in their statements, actions, beliefs? I have a lot of other questions I ask myself as well. Who they have called a name or yelled at has never been one of my criteria. Just saying.

Donald has been pretty firm about not letting the losers in. He is hedging just to keep his numbers up. I don’t think he will really let any of them in.

"This reminds me, I asked a Trump supporter if Anthony Weiner were to say the things Trump is saying, would he support him? He said yes, if Weiner were to "suddenly become conservative".

I kid you not, "suddenly become conservative" just doesn't happen. But some believe it can.

Or maybe they are a socialist mob, excited about taking over U.S. politics from within both political parties. Look at the size of the mob.

Trump also wants to stop taxation of government-linked global corporates while robbing individuals of all of their personal assets with outrageous taxes against them: fascism!

Economic collapse and resulting forced reduction of the size of government just might be the answer to the problem. Maybe the time for every true conservative to slow down and get much more self-sufficient has come--open source equipment design, preparedness for mobile living and all of that.

OK, so your logic is that a friend of yours said they were voting for Obama because of “Hope and Change”— and the poster on here said that he likes Trump because he wants change-— therefore since one person said the word change and the other person said the word change then it must follow that Trump=Obama? If you anti-Trump people wonder why no one takes you seriously on here— this is why...

You’re so right! Not Cruz or Carson will win! It outright makes me laugh when the freepers get all worked up like this and go on with their tantrums. They are really delusional if they think that Cruz, Carson or even Rand Paul could win. The only candidate that the democrats are sweating about is Trump!

I've never seen members of FR become so enraptured with a candidate and willing to ignore any serious faults. I'll give Trump credit for getting in front of the immigration crisis and willing to do something about it.

But that is not the only issue. Screaming at questioners that he'll study a problem after he gets elected is just not suitable.

97% of Syrian refugees admitted to US in 2015 are Muslims

Did you see my post to you about this earlier or did it get lost in the shuffle today?

This statistic you have twice provided me does not bear on any comment I have made regarding the current onslaught of refugees into Europe.

My understanding is that Christian refugees in danger for their lives are the ones unjustly being denied entry to the US.

Radical muslims threatened by other radical muslims, a mess so chaotic that event the CIA doesn’t know who is on which side, nor how often they switch sides, should not be candidates to enter the USA.

Why exactly would we import radical Muslims?

Thank you Onyx for putting Trump’s statement in context.

Without context, any snippet can look opposite of what was really said. Liberals favorite methodology is to print part of a statement.

Sad to see posters are using the same method here. Whatever happened to honesty?

Donald needs to watch the numbers video on immigration. We cannot help people here. We need to help them there, if we feel so inclined.
