Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump stated that while “There’s only so much we can do. We have to fix our own country” the US should “help as much as possible” with the European refugee crisis and “possibly” let some refugees into the US on Friday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”
Trump was asked about the European refugee crisis and, “Should we be letting some of those people into this country?”
He answered, “So horrible on a humanitarian basis when you see that. It’s like incredible what’s going on. But, you know, we have so many problems. And the answer is possibly yes, Cokie, possibly yes.

The world is in a different place then it was when we went after Saddam for his brutal treatment of his people....but we knew about their plight ‘for years’ before going in.
These are people who have “safe” countries over there to go to...as a refugee. There’s no reason to bring them here.....
Cruz could really distinguish himself here — let in Syrian Crhistians and Jews, not Syrian muslims. Then Trump will have to choose sides.
Yea I saw that— the story does seem a bit suspicious about the kid.. I would like to hear a medical examiners take on it..
Is there anybody who has strongly objected? Santorum? Somebody stat”refugees? This is a manufactured crisis to spread Islam.
He may be a number of things, but not Conservative.
BUT ... I say again, at least he is shaking up the GOPe and has them on the run and I am glad of that.

That will depend on who does the processing of these people.....which doesn’t give me a warm feeling....in Germany if they are found to be a refugee, not an immigrant, that process takes four to five hours...but many are taught by their handlers how to answer those questions....so I’m not sure how they would know.
However we do have His Spirit to bear witness with their’s....or not....but there’s nobody who is saying if they’re Christians overseeing the process. For even they could say they’re Christian and not be.

There’s still time for Cruz to consider his position on Syrian refugees and possibly ask Trump for clarification too. Here’s a golden chance to stand out.
If only we can change Trump’s mind from the extreme left to conservatism on all of his positions and keep him from taking both sides in speeches, he might win!

That’s where I stand...because God can protect them til this mess is over...and we don’t know what the plan is for them where they are. Some will die for their faith, we know this, so we need to be careful we’re not removing the very ones God intends to continue to work with over there....which could be interfering with their work.
On the other hand they could go to another nation for their are other safe nations there.

I would add, Trump is a liberal, and as such he should not even be considered for the Republican nomination.

Who are you recommending? Have you got someone in mind who has actually accomplished something and does not buckle under pressure from his/her donors? And also explain how they have done more for America then Trump has. For example, Trump has provided more then just tens of thousands of Americans with jobs, he has built real companies and real infrastructure. He has never been elected to public office, and yet he has made illegal immigration a front and center issue and even forced the GOP field to the right. Not to mention had the balls to speak truth to power. And then tell me what Trump has accomplished that furthers the liberal agenda. The truth is your only objection to Trump is that he said something years ago that didn’t suit your so called conservative sensibilities. And yet you have no problem with candidates with actual accomplishments that did and are furthering the liberal agenda. For example TPA/TPP and the corker bill. So please, by all means, continue to lecture me on hope-n-change.

I hope Trump comes out stronger than this, but then again, I never fully expected him to be strong to the bitter end.
It’s surprised me that he held on to the anti-ruling class for so long. He’s campaigning in the style I always hoped a conservative would. Maybe more insulting, but we need someone willing to fight back.
So, here’s a chance for Ben Carson or Cruz.
