For all the talk about Donald Trump allegedly driving minorities away from the Republican Party, could he actually bring people in?
A SurveyUSA poll released Friday shows in a hypothetical matchup with Hillary Clinton, Trump is ahead 45% to 40%.
But digging into the racial breakdown of the respondents is revealing. For example, the poll finds 25% of black respondents say they would vote for Trump over Clinton.
How impressive is that?

“He probably means the willingness to reach across the isle.”
That would be from England to Scotland? ;)
I agree with you. A brilliant neurosurgeon is like a queen bee, prized for his singular, essential ability and supported in all other matters, even the most basic. Carson would need a legion of Valerie Jarretts. They wouldn’t be hard left statists but they would be a shadow govt.
Add to that his squishy principles and the threats the world is facing. Do we need another post turtle in the White House?
“Again this told me that Americans will take any kind of work they can get when they can get it.”
After one of the few ICE raids under Bush, a meat-packing plant in Kansas has trouble getting employees for $12/hr. When they hired illegals, the pay dropped from $15 to $12. After the plant raised wages to $15, they were inundated with applications.
This is big. Vote fraud in black communities is dependent on universal cooperation. If the black poll workers choose not to wink at pro-Clinton fraud, then she’s in trouble.
The collective explosion of the progressives’ and Hillary’s gestapo’s heads exploding will be delicious! They cannot stop the truth now....they are finished.
If Trump or anyone got 1 million black votes that voted (D) in the last election, it would equal 2 million new voters because of (D)-1 Million and (R)+1 Million.
In a close popular vote 52-48 the effect would be devastating as 1.5% changes sides to 50.5-49.5.
The vote switching effect is a big deal to the parties. It is the main reason that Reagan went from 50.8% in 1980 to 58.8% in 1984.
This will get really interesting when hard numbers on Hispanics comes out ( which heavily influences the other six swing states ). A similar 5-10% change has a magnified efefct as they are 16% or more of the population at present. In theory, Trump *could* actually win this thing just be picking off a chunk of these two voting blocks.

I’d love to know who wrote this plan. Clearly the ideas come from Sessions, but is there anyone on Trump’s staff capable of this? As time goes on if he stays in there will be advisors etc.on various issues. But this is superior work.
Total lie. Cruz voted against it.”
Cruz originally supported the fast track bill when it failed to pass the Senate back in May. In an April op-ed with Congressman Paul Ryan (R. -WI.) in the Wall Street Journal, Cruz hailed the trade bill as a fair deal for American workers.

Cruz voted for it before he was against it. Cruz DID vote for the TPA the first time. You lie.
It was made more disgusting when Cruz voted for the Corker amendment when it wasn't necessary. He did that because he WANTED the Iran bill to pass. The Corker amendment was strictly for the Iran bill first, and he knew that.
The big problem the GOP has is that it’s not going to be Hillary.
Not much to be done for it, actually. Both parties are irredeemably beyond serving the needs of the voters. By the time Caesar crossed the Rubicon the Roman Senate was beyond reform.
“I kind of doubt they will vote for another black soon.”
I’ve believed that for a long time — back before Carson was in the picture and Alan West was being talked about. Obama ruined it for blacks, both good and bad, for a long time

This is why Trump is not touching social issues and focusing on economics, IMO. If he can peel off a few points from all Dem constituents across the board he will win in a landslide.
Sorry, but Cruz supported and voted for TPA at the time it still limited the Senate’s power in stopping Obama’s trade deals.
Just like Iran, Cruz flip flops all over to cover his ass, but really just gives Obama more power and gives Cruz cover.
Sorry, but Walker supported TPA after Cruz had abandoned his mistaken position. Walker still supports it, AFAIK. He’s quiet about that though, LOL.

Really? I think that blacks resent, not respect, rich men who create empires. They don’t want to do the same thing because they might have to do some work. They all want to be like him, but they want the success handed to them rather than work hard for it.
“Again I bet that Americans want that wall built so that they dont keep getting screwed and will fill any kind of opportunity presented to them. This myth that we need to let in the illegals because they are doing work no one else wants is total bs.”
I have argued this with my husband until I’m blue in the face. Most Americans will take any job available to put food on the table and pay the mortgage.
Affirmative action?
Good grief. You need to research the man’s life, his successes, his abilities in logic and thought processing. If you don’t read, check out Cuba Gooding’s movie, “Gifted Hands”, based on Carson’s life.
Haven't heard of this. When did he say this? Do you have a link where I can read it? thanks.
Trump was referring to the infamous Kelo Supreme Court decision, where a developer (not the government) was allowed eminent domain to compel purchase of a private residence from an unwilling owner, with the supposed reason being all the wonderful public good which would result from the higher taxes which would then be paid on the (re)developed property.
The irony is that the property in the case never *did* get developed, and (IIRC) is now a vacant lot.
So the homeowner lost their property for nothing: yet the decision and precedent stands.
If he surrounds himself with people who
a) have the best interests of America (as founded) at heart, and not some shifty rainbow-muliti-culti version of an emasculated America in a multipolar world
b) know what works
c) have expertise based on experience (note the root of the words) rather than credentials from the "right" schools
d) are interested in advancing the country and not just their own careers or wallet
then this is well worth telling people.
Obama's team are the opposite on all counts.
Cruz may walk on water, perhaps you are right. However, he can’t get elected so what good does that do you?
We cannot survive another demopuplican or republicrat. Maybe odd is as good as this country deserves right now. Sad but its the way it may work out yet again there is many miles to go before this race is over.
i really agree he mostly just cracks me up when he makes fun of people. but every one i know workers, church, think he is a nut job. and will never make it. i should probe on who they think is better. where i can.
