Trump can't actually win, can he?
Los Angeles Times ^ | September 6, 2015 | Doyle McManus

Posted on 09/06/2015 10:19:29 AM PDT by Biggirl

I talked with Republican wise men last week — sober establishment strategists who have seen many presidential campaigns come and go — to ask them how long the improbable popularity of Donald Trump can last. Reassure me, I said: He can't actually win, right? Their answers surprised me.

Do you have any idea why Trump is winning and will more than likely win not only the nomination but a large landslide victory in 14 months?

The reason is that in every corner of this country, we are infested with low class, uneducated, illiterate illegal and LEGAL invading hoards.

I live in Cleveland, OH. An area of low growth and economic stagnation for several decades. Yet a trip to the local Walmart or grocery has one entering an area that more often resembles an Arab bazaar or a Rio Favela than a Mid Western city.

We stand behind smelly immigrants, a majority of whom know only enough English to navigate themselves to the local Welfare office for an EBT card and housing voucher.

We then attempt to better our employment only to find that foreigners are in most jobs, even in government jobs leaving us to fend for the scraps. Add further the fact that a large percentage of the housing in your neighborhood, even in the high end exurbs is being bought by foreigners and partitioned into illegal apartments with upwards of twenty or more people living in a single family home and not exactly concerned about the upkeep or the property value.

This in a city that is not exactly a boom town.

Multiply that by several million other people with similar experiences in thousands of other towns and cities while simultaneously hearing leaders from both parties saying to get used to it because these illegal hoards are better people that YOU and a tidal wave of understandable resentment brings a huge victory to Trump.

You asked.. so sue me..

Why would I sue you? I like hearing other conservatives' opinions and thoughts.

As far as Democrats being traitors, I would generally agree the Obamas, Clinton, Reids, and Pelosi most definitely are. I would argue that JFK and Reagan Democrats were not and were probably more conservative than most Republicans are today.

But it is a fact that we gave an overwhelming mandate to the GOP in 2012 and 2014 to stop Obama and the GOP under Boehner and McConnell ARE traitors to us for sure.

With Trump, we have nothing to lose. He either delivers or we stay in a little less liberal span than we would see with the return of the Clintons. Cruz has not even been able to convince a majority of Republicans to follow him so you can't expect that the rest of the country will follow either.

The weakened Hillary is still a threat because ultimately those Dem voters like the idea of electing the first "woman", but deep down they are expecting Bill to be running the show.

Thank Gd there is still a bit of AMERICA in us. While Europeans love to gather in salons, hypereducated and well spoken, and handwring and analyze while evil powers rule their asses, we Americans just march in and get ‘er done. This is our personality in the world. And has always been. Tough and good.

America should not be what we are becoming. A typical whining insecure socialist phony dogooder who actually does more harm each time they “help.”

Trump would make a Gorbachev tear down a wall. We can’t, with our media and choices, do any better than President Trump right now, and there is evidence he could be what we need.

I’m going to stock up on popcorn and beer, hoping that panic continues. I would dearly love to see my fellow Texan, Ted Cruz as the nominee, but if Trump gets the nod, I will vote for him. I do not see myself voting for another GOPe darling like Jeb-fool me twice, shame on me...

True. So why did Trump endorse him in the primary and even re-register as a Republican to vote for him in the primary?

Obama proved that anybody who can do a reasonable job reading a teleprompter can be elected president. Low-information voters just want to see lips move.

First let me say this . Trump is using the same tactics the democrats use. It's a game of displaying personalities not a discussion of policy and priciples that are destroying what the founders created . Never how our society is disolving into a dependency on the state governed by a party with a socialist agenda loaded with policies which are destroying everything the founders assembled. Which included the mention of God, which they did in 2012, is limited government. . . Re your message review. I read much of it and I share the concerns you express. Since you feel Trump is the solution please tell to me exactly how he intends to achieve those goals. Most of them so far he hasn't even addressed any of those let alone how he'll send those illeagals back. What is my solution ? Reciprocal immigration. We treat their illegals like they treat theirs. No ownershup of land ,no food stamps,no state paid legal help, no jobs, fines, jail, deport. Trump will never go for that. If he does we'ill see.. About your editing problem Depends on how you reviewed your message which I assume was created on your email computer's compositor. Then you dragged and copied it to FR. When you go into editing. There are 3 buttons on the bottom of your screen. edit, source, (which actually over encodes it) and preview. You go into source and edit the code. If it doesn't show either

or
you insert that P for where you want to paragraph and BR a break for next sentence line. Now after you drag and position. Preview before you post. Then you can recheck and make sure your opus doesn't "clump up"

A lot of the pundits have moved from denial to anger. Sometimes it looks like Jonah Goldberg is in depression. :-)

but he is a capitalist.

You might want to research that. I don't call a person who believes in unfettered ability of the government to seize private property a capitalist. Trump has always used big government cronies for his business. If you think he supports capitalism, you are sadly mistaken. That's probably his weakest point.

Yeah, look at how smart we conservatives have been since 1984...every single nominee was a pure conservative, and they all got elec...oh, wait, uh, never mind.

Politics is a field where you simply CANNOT get everything you want. Some compromise is needed - you work out the best deal you can. An unabashedly pro-American candidate who wants to strengthen our defenses, keep the character of our country as is by stopping illegals and removing as many as possible, and to protect American workers’ jobs isn’t too bad of a start.

Besides, Trump is beating Hillary in polls now, and he is just getting started.

Do you have any idea why Trump is winning and will more than likely win not only the nomination but a large landslide victory in 14 months?

Well I have my opinion... that I accept as fact..
to wit;

Trump is a global crony capitalist..... who can deny..
Hell he brags about it..

The only thing is; is he for BIG fed.Gov’t or Small fed.Gov’t..
everything else blind faith..

Well Trump’s assets are global not only domestic..
And being from “Wharton” thinks globally..

Does he love America?.. Democrats despise America all of them; he was a democrat..
Democrats KNOW Trump much more than conservatives do, he was ONE OF THEM.. maybe still is..

Has he had a “JUDAS moment” and hangs with conservatives?..
AND will rat them out?.. Who knows.?..

BUT things can be projected forward..to some extent..
I think Trump is a shoe IN BECAUSE many conservative are “BEWITCHED”..
He wins the republican primary..

AND will win the general election because many democrats despise OBAMA and Hellary BUT CANNOT say so..
It’s like a ghetto thang among democrats.. no Uncle Tom’s are allowed.. or even tolerated..

BUT WILL vote for TRUMP, they KNOW TRUMP.. even tho they envy his wealth..
They KNOW he WAS a stout die-hard democrat for most of his life..
AND IT MAKEs him OK with them..

I believe that he will get more democrat votes than republican ones.. or maybe even close to the same..

It will be like PeeWee Herman playing Ronald Reagan on PeeWee’s Playhouse..

GOD knows what a Global Crony Capitalist will do as US President...
Could make OBAMA look like Roger Rabbit..

Course he will FIX some things....
bones to the conservatives.. “bones no meat”..

A One Worlder President.. like all the Bushes, Clintoon’s, And the Obamanoids..
American seem befuddled and bewitched..

Wonder if TRUMP is projected GREAT ANTI-Christ.. of legend.?.
GRAB the pop-corn.. whatever IS... IS... and whatever Ain’t.... Ain’t..
