Madonna's brother, Christopher Ciccone, is speaking out in defense of the county clerk in Kentucky who was recently jailed after refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.
Ciccone, who is openly gay, posted a message to Facebook on Friday in which he said that Kim Davis should be granted the right deny the licenses, with Ciccone citing her "religious freedom."
"The county clerk in [Kentucky] deserves about as much support as you would give her if she were a Muslim [woman] who insisted on covering her face and refused not only gay marriages licenses, but divorce, accusations of rape and driving a car without your man's approval," he wrote.
Ciccone acknowledged that Davis is required to follow federal law before he added: "But why should she when DOJ and other civil authorities don't follow federal law when they choose not to, i.e. Washington State and Colorado (POT) come to mind...or the abstract notion of 'sanctuary cities.' I always thought that sanctuary was the province of churches."
"Once again, the gay community feels the need to be sore winners," he continued. "Is it so difficult to allow this women her religion? Or must we destroy her in order for her to betray her faith. No matter how we judge, it's truth. The rights we have all fought for, mean nothing, if we deny her hers."
Ciccone began his entertainment career as one of Madonna's backup dancers before moving on to direct music videos for such stars as Dolly Parton.

In the mean time.....since when are we the arbiter of other peoples faith?.......can you honestly say that you know how much a person is allowed to have??..if i'm not mistaken, it's in the constitution.....something about religious freedom or something......selective shaming and bullying corrupts a democracy....freedom of press, speech and religion give it strength. Not to mention reason and the god given compassion we as humans have a right and responsibility to practice. Once again, the gay community feels the need to be sore winners. Christopher is extremely talented and I hope has his life turned around. Her three addict brothers at least help each other out when it isn’t dividing and tearing the rest of the family apart.
It’s also not about conduct, but about beliefs. This is a war on Christianity, pure and simple. Muslims will never be punished for exercise of their beliefs like Christians will, no matter how many people they behead or burn alive.

No. The First Amendment gives your no rights. You are endowed with those rights by your Creator. The amendment is there to remind the government not to try to take those rights.
Let apply a little logic....so how do you "overturn" it? what wording do you write.. at what level of the law do you pass it?...the law was understood before to mean one thing.. the the SCOTUS took that same law and said it did not mean it. It now states it mean the reverse..
That very odd because it did not nullify or end marriage..and it also did not open it up to anyone..it just added this one new meaning...

No new law was written as the SCOTUS does not “write” law..it is empowered to read and apply it only.
So what law must be written, what wording must be used and who must write it and pass it for the SCOTUS to follow it? .
I think when a court decides to change a 200 year understand of the law and a 2000 year understating of a common word..
it is obligated to say to all at the very least...if you now want this original understanding..marriage to be one man and women...
This is the how you must write it this is who.must write it...
But they do not..because see SCOTUS is writing law when it decides...it does not matter what is written. .they will overrule.....its "you can not get there from here..you can never get there"...that the court exceeding is power...
because the court has no power to write law..only read and apply..so the writer not the reader has the power of the final say..if you.have an honest reader

You’re right, but as I said, Obama’s America. Laws mean nothing. My larger point wasn’t about the “law” in particular.
I would say again, nobody should be thrown in jail for not doing a job.
