The cross tabs to this poll are fascinating and reveal an opening for any Republican candidate in 2016.
Although the poll surveyed 1000 Americans, fully 900 of them were registered voters. Some highlights:
* Clinton wins among women 44-35. Trump wins men 50-35.
* The only age group Clinton wins is the 18-34 bracket, 50-31. Trump wins the 35-49 group by 47-35; 50-64 by 50-35; and 65+ by 55-37. Guess which age groups vote the most in elections? The 50-65+ brackets.
* Trump wins the white vote by 51-34 and gets an encouraging 25% of the black vote. Hillary wins the Hispanic vote 50-31.
* Among those paying “a lot” of attention to politics, Trump is beating Clinton 54-36. Clinton wins among LIVs by 43-34.
It’s hard to tell if these are anti-Hillary numbers or pro-Trump numbers. The usual Democratic constituencies are supporting Clinton; ditto Republicans. Trump is winning moderates and independents by small margins. Clinton’s “war on women” charge isn’t resonating. And her favorables are in free fall.
The important takeaway: Trump, despite claims from establishment Republicans, isn’t chasing anyone away and his style may be attracting older, established voters that are vital to Republicans for victory in 2016.

Viewing this gong show rom north of the border, I have to ask my American friends in all sincerity - are you completely insane? A morally repulsive, misogynist, self-promoting huckster is your choice to carry the Republican banner? The corporate welfare bums in NYC and the lobbyists in DC must be beside themselves with glee.
ROMNEY didn’t get anywhere near 31% of Hispanics...and he didn’t slam Mexican rapists and have his bodyguards punch Mexican illegals.
Yeb would get the same percentage of the Hispanic vote as Romney did, despite all of his ass kissing.

I only want Bush finished. I am sick of the stinking Bushes. Don’t need another one running. I certainly will not vote for him. I skipped voting for Romney and did not vote for a person for president for the first time in my life. I am over age 65+ and being retired military, I vote for someone like I did when I was in the Army. I was voting for who my next commander in chief would be. That is how I judge them lots of time. I am not voting for this Bush to be my CIC, just like I would not have Romney as my CIC. That is the way this old guy sees it. No more Bushes. Tired of the stinking Bushes as I am of the occupant in the White House now.
This is why the young and the moochers shouldn’t be allowed to vote.
What politician isn’t a self-promoting huckster? Trump just does it better than the rest of them.
“Misogynist” is the language of the left. I can’t think of one example that would qualify Trump as a misogynist.
I want Trump to finish off Bush.

I bet they are. Actually there are lots of unemployed classes that would like jobs. The democrats only promise to keep them dependent. Some people are tired of being used in this way.
