Trump Tops All Democrats in New General Election Poll

The cross tabs to this poll are fascinating and reveal an opening for any Republican candidate in 2016.

Although the poll surveyed 1000 Americans, fully 900 of them were registered voters. Some highlights:

* Clinton wins among women 44-35. Trump wins men 50-35.

* The only age group Clinton wins is the 18-34 bracket, 50-31. Trump wins the 35-49 group by 47-35; 50-64 by 50-35; and 65+ by 55-37. Guess which age groups vote the most in elections? The 50-65+ brackets.

* Trump wins the white vote by 51-34 and gets an encouraging 25% of the black vote. Hillary wins the Hispanic vote 50-31.

* Among those paying “a lot” of attention to politics, Trump is beating Clinton 54-36. Clinton wins among LIVs by 43-34.

It’s hard to tell if these are anti-Hillary numbers or pro-Trump numbers. The usual Democratic constituencies are supporting Clinton; ditto Republicans. Trump is winning moderates and independents by small margins. Clinton’s “war on women” charge isn’t resonating. And her favorables are in free fall.

The important takeaway: Trump, despite claims from establishment Republicans, isn’t chasing anyone away and his style may be attracting older, established voters that are vital to Republicans for victory in 2016.

"The only age group Clinton wins is the 18-34 bracket, 50-31."

That puzzles me. What do these young people see in her?

Send a copy of Mark Levin's book Plunder and Deceit to every young adult aged 18-34. It's as one reviewer said "a clarion call to young people."

A great gift from all FReepers to anyone you know aged 18-34. We can do this!

Will MaCain call this many supporters “crazies”? It might take some of the smirk off Carl Rove’s face.

For the long run, we have to get much better at challenging the youth over their indoctrination by the faux educationalists. I have been fighting that battle now for over sixty years, and can absolutely assure anyone interested, that the indoctrination was all by verbal chicanery appealing to cloud-borne wish lists, endlessly parroted as an ideal.

There is simply no substance to what has been taught as modern "enlightenment," but we have to develop better tool kits for getting the indoctrinated to actually examine the false premises. In that sixty plus years, I have met only one or two "liberals," out of thousands, who could even offer the facsimile of a rational defense for what they have been indoctrinated in; but getting the typical conditioned (non) thinker to actually examine his or her premises, is very far from easy.

It is not, of course, that the modern Pavlovs have been all that clever. The problem is the endless iteration of the same nonsense both in Academia & the parroting media, which, in turn, is buttressed by the shrieking robots, hurling labelling insults at anyone who dares challenge those abusrd Socialist premises.

I think the title should include TRUMP WINS POTUS 2016 for the FReepers who are off on some animal thread stewing in their TDS indignation.

Thank you for hearing our Prayers, Lord. We know you’re not done with us just yet.

I would bet her support among 34 yr/old is much less than 18 yr/old.

Just look at the school and culture. It is dominated by the left.

For many people it takes life experience to beat the non-sense out of them. Usually working at their first well paying job and see the taxes get ripped out of their hide.

I wish Tebow the best, also. But the under 34 crowds are not really "majority idiots"--although there has been an actual dumbing down of the public demographically as a result of the Left's subsidization of the birth rate of welfare recipients, and other idiotic policies.

But the yet greater contributor to support for Hillary, has been the two generations of increasingly biased--biased against reality--educational corruption. All Socialism is based on the theory of human plasticity; of the idiotic make-believe, that if you change people's social environment, you actually alter the personalities--hence, the corollary that social engineering can actually effect human betterment.

This implicitly insults all of us; but most Conservatives have been cowed into not directly challenging the idea--for example, President Bush simply accepting the notion, with his "no child left behind," silliness, which basically undermined what was really needed in local education (other than freedom from Federal meddling, in general); which was to recognize that we all have different aptitudes, and that the ideal is not equality, but respect for what is unique in each individual.

I think this will change as the election nears. Young people need jobs more than ideology.

Did’nt many posters claim Trump was another Herman Cain? They said Trump is a fad which will be gone by labor day! Are those posters really smart?

Truckloads of Thorazine were seen backing up to DNC/RNC HQ and Fox News.

They had to do SOMETHING when the valium and vodka shots ran out.

This is the age group which has most recently finished indoctrination. They have not had the time needed to break it, hence they want Clinton and Sanders. Most haven’t learned that the problem isn’t who’s managing this massive government. The problem is that the massive government exists in the first place.

When it becomes apparent to our enemies that Trump/Cruz are going to win, they start changing their behavior immediately, not the first week of Jan. 2017.

Including DOMESTIC enemies, which are more destructive!

It literally took the "educational Left," two generations to indoctrinate in the fantasy that pride in heritage was something to be rejected. It is of course--that is the rejection of pride in heritage--one of the guiding "values" of the contemporary American Left;--but historically it would be seen very differently; literally a rejection of history, Faith, common sense, and natural law.

In foreign policy, it amounts to Surrender By Subterfuge; in domestic affairs, it leads to the Blame & Envy approach that demagogues have used to rally the mob in pursuit of power.

Needless to repeat, we need to confront this war on heritage at every opportunity, with tools designed to wake people up; before we have our Jacobin, Bolshevik or Nazi moment.

I think I’d rather see Clinton as the nominee than Sanders. She’s a horrendous candidate who people dislike the more they see her. He’s a fiery guy who’s inspiring passion, wrongheaded as it is.

To beat Sanders, the voting public would need to be intelligent and informed enough to recognize that his approach is ass backward. I don’t trust them to be so. Do you?
