because he says: Make America Great Again! And when Trump says that I hear:
Someone who gives a damn about America, without apology; which is more valuable to me than a perfected highly-rehearsed skill set of 30 second sound bites and white paper policy instructions. From my perspective any average hard-working American could eat every one of these pinky ring candidates lunches, all of them; and if they want to go down the intellectual superiority path. That stuff is useless.

He supported single payer in 2000.
In his book published in 2011 he said Obamacare was a disaster and he proposed repealing it, letting people buy insurance across state lines, and serious tort reform including loser pay.
I said some pretty stupid things in 2000 too. I honestly thought W was conservative and the republicans were the good guys.
Which isn't true, especially on the issue of illegal immigration and trade with China. He has a long history on that subject. Is he ideologically pure all his life? No. Then again, neither is Cruz, Walker, or any of the other candidates, who to a man favor giving legal status to illegal aliens, albeit some of them temper it by claiming "Not a pathway to citizenship!"

So you can pimp a worthless clickbait blog?
If Trump is going to run the Govt as a business and balance the debt or even turn it around and actually start to pay it down it will be necessary to trim all the fat and eliminate all redundant angencies each state already have.
Thanks. That was great!
Or don’t go to the link and read it.
Your choice.
Trump was in his fifties in 2000. I expect someone with that life experience to have a set moral core. Especially if I'm going to trust him to be President. I am the same age and I was more conservatively grounded than Trump.
Not everyone is an ideologue who sits around contemplating the philosophy of "conservatism," and, in fact, most Americans don't. They live normal lives where they're not sitting around watching the news all day or listening to "conservatives." Hell, not even all conservatives are all that substantial people. Look at how popular Rick Santorum was just because he made some religious slogans, but offered no plans. All the candidates who claim they're so pure, so religious, so severely conservative who sit around meditating on the life and times of Ronald Reagan also happen to have suicidal (for the nation) policies on illegal immigration.
But then we have a billionare businessman who is actually a patriot, loves his country, doesn't want to hand it off to the third world without a fight, but you guys are sitting around saying that he's too liberal, too awful for your tastes, when all alternatives are owned by the GOPe, the globalists, the banks, and the cheap labor crowd.
Santorum had lots of fleshed out plans, including an immigration plan that is still way to the right of Trump’s on curbing back legal immigration. He was way ahead of everybody on ending birthright citizenship for non-citizens’ children.
I have. In his speech in Phoenix he said "sorry conservatives, we have to take care of everybody." The context was socialized medicine.
No. Trump is as worthless as the rest of them.
That’s not a plus for Trump.
I don't know where Santorum is today because nobody even knows he's running, but back during the Romney fiasco, the idea that Santorum was substantial is a big joke. He was just a monkey wrench to make sure Romney got the nomination. He had nothing going for him, and spent most of his time going after the ideas of other people when not talking about how corageous he is without telling anybody what his plans were. Even his website on the "Issues" page had Pornography as the first big issue on the list. I think it was only when this started getting talked about did he shuffle the issues page a bit, though the rest of it was just as useless.
Because he can’t be bought, like the rest of the candidates;
He says it like it is, my type of person, don’t want the answer, don’t ask the question;
He’s smart, rich and knows how to get the job done!
Go TRUMP all the way to the White House 2016!!!
That is what I want to see in my candidate. All Trump gives me is "yada, yada, yada.........we build a fence. Yada, yada, yada........we deal with China. He has a lot of rhetoric without a lot of substance. Only with a record of the "philosophy of conservatism" can I glean how I think a candidate is going to choose cabinets, supreme court nominees and policies. If Trump gives you warm and fuzzies be my guest. Just don't ask me to drink the Kool-Aid.
Build a wall, not a fence. The GOPe and all these elitest "conservatives" in the media don't even want a fence.
He has a lot of rhetoric without a lot of substance.
Which is straight out nonsense I guarantee you learned from the MSM and the GOPe. Trump's given way more details about his plans than any other candidate, ironically.
Only with a record of the "philosophy of conservatism" can I glean how I think a candidate is going to choose cabinets, supreme court nominees and policies.
Look how many Reagan and GWB judges have turned out sour. I'd rather have Trump with his business orientated mind pick them than any career politician.
Just don't ask me to drink the Kool-Aid.
Considering you attacked Trump for being unsubstantive, I think you DID drink some kool-aid!
Presidential Campaigns have become reality tv shows.. whoever gets the ratings..
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0387808/
But...
Trump’s gonna hire somebody who knows about stuff who will hire somebody who will do something good about them.
Just trust him.
You took that statement differently than I did. I think he was talking about a safety net for the poor. Good heavens, I am flabbergasted at how people can hear and interpret things so different.
We would all like a fence. We don't want a fence costing several hundred billion dollars. Making Mexico pay for it is ridiculous. They don't have close to that GDP.
Look how many Reagan and GWB judges have turned out sour. I'd rather have Trump with his business orientated mind pick them than any career politician.
I agree that conservatives have done a poor job of picking SCOTUS candidates. If you think businessmen are going to do a better job I have a tower to sell you in New York.
Considering you attacked Trump for being substantive, I think you DID drink some kool-aid!
I'm not drinking straight from the spigot.
So in all actuality, you oppose the border wall, and thus you, in all reality, aren't serious about stopping illegal immigration. Explains your opposition to Trump! As for price, you can't really put a price on national security. I doubt you know either how much it'll cost either way.
