It may have some of the toughest gun laws in the country but that doesn't mean they can't make it tougher. That'll certainly put an end to all this killing once and for all. Oh, ooops! Maybe not. How about stricter background checks? No? Maybe some midnight B-ball? No? Maybe the msm will get involved. B on b killings? No story there. White cop kills unarmed teenager? Big story. Gay black racist newsperson kills 2 wounds 1. All 3 white. Meh.

If only it was illegal for me to own guns this would never happen.

Signs - more and more “Gun Free” zone signs will make it difficult for gun violence. Soon they’ll need a map to show where they can shoot someone.

IMHO, neither looser nor tighter gun regulations will change anything in those neighborhoods. What is needed is hard justice for the perps and a cultural makeover. Easier said than done.

The Windy City had nine shooting deaths on Wednesday That'll certainly put an end to all this killing once and for all. Oh, ooops! Maybe not.
That's just about more killings in one day than the entire state of Wyoming, population around a half-million, had in the entire year of 2011, the year we adopted no-license open or concealed *constitutional carry.*

That should solve this problem!

Earlier in the spring I emailed Mayor Rhambo and suggested he deputize the Million Moms for Gun Sense (conveniently located next door here in Indiana), team them with Baraq’s ATF agents, and send them into the Chicago ‘hood to clean up the illegal guns.
So far no response.

Chicago breaks single-day shooting death record
. . .
The Windy City had nine shooting deaths on Wednesday its highest rate of single-day fatalities in over a decade. On July 5, 2003, there were 10 homicides in the city.
The headline is wrong. It says it broke the record and then in the second paragraph notes that their own resench shows that there were 10 homicides on July 5, 2003. Unless the 2003 date includes non shooting deaths.

Chicago has some of the toughest gun-control laws in the country. It also has a new record for shooting deaths in a single day. Even back in 1978 when I was a newspaperman with the now-gone Chicago Daily News, we called it Chicongo.
