Kim Davis could become the first Christian in America jailed as a result of the Supreme Court decision legalizing gay marriage.
Ive weighed the cost and Im prepared to go to jail, I sure am, Mrs. Davis told me in an exclusive interview. This has never been a gay or lesbian issue for me. This is about upholding the word of God.
This is a heaven or hell issue for me and for every other Christian that believes, she said. This is a fight worth fighting.
Davis is the clerk of Rowan County, Ky. a small patch of earth in the northeastern part of the state. She was elected last November taking the place of her mother, who held the position for nearly 40 years.
Its fair to say that issuing marriage licenses was something of a family business until the day the Supreme Court legalized gay marriage.
Davis is a devout Apostolic Christian, and she knew that should gay marriage become legal, she could not and would not sign her name on a same-sex marriage certificate.

What TV didn’t tell you is her marriages were before she became a Christian.
Now that she is born again she is acting in a manner consistent with true believers.
Watch what happens if she’s fined. It would make the crowdfunding in support of that Christian baker pale by comparison.
Perverts have become the victims??
Pastors jailed for their Christian faith. This started in Toronto just a few years ago, we still didn’t pay attention. How tragic that will be when (not if) it happens. We are becoming very soviet-like in this country. Reversing this trend will take a decade or two under proper leadership, something we lack today.
Sheesh - if she goes to jail, she’ll be surrounded by lesbians.
She converted just 4 years ago.
“Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow.”
Her crowdfunding page would be taken down by its host, no doubt. Welcome to Amerika.
Over the last ten years many have already been fined, fired, kept from graduating from college, or jailed simply for stating that they believe that homosexuality is immoral. I have told my children that I fully expect to be jailed during my lifetime for my beliefs. There are many so-called conservatives who won’t have to worry about consequences such as these, though, because sadly there won’t be enough evidence to convict them.
In a “Free Mumia” age, liberals might have an incentive NOT to create such martyrs.
These days that makes me think of smart phones.
God will take care of her. God bless her!
And she’ll get to preach to them... poor lezzies.
It’s the Angry Birds app.
(Yes I’m kidding... I don’t know for certain how that will pan out, it might pan out in multiple ways.)
You missed her statement that she has been saved only 4 years and is NOW a follower of Christ. Either you missed it or you are purposely misrepresentint her.
Screeching unreasoning rage, enabled by other minds that opened so much that their brains fell out on the floor.
Time for state rights and laws on this matter to be tested, above that of the feds.
I presume she took an oath to uphold state laws and her oath did not include illegal federal intervention.
Time to start the climb of the legal levels to the top.
RE: Over the last ten years many have already been fined, fired,
The signs were all there BEFORE the case went to the Supreme Court.
You can’t even VOTE or SUPPORT any traditional marriage legislation as an INDIVIDUAL without losing your job.
Remember the case of the genius inventor of JavaScript and CEO of the tech company, Brendan Eich?
He contributed a few thousand dollars to the traditional family proposition in California ( that PASSED by the way ).
His donation was discovered several years later by the dating site — OK CUPID.
RESULT: Mozilla FIRED HIM.
Chick-Fil-A is another company that is being attacked even as we speak.
‘Willing to cast that first stone, eh?

States Rights (snicker). Indiana and Arkansas can’t even pass their own Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA ) without having giant groups like Apple and the NFL calling threatening boycotts.
No, there’s that one thats been supporting the various small businesses that have been declining to participate in same sex weddings.
The one that responded to left-wing pressure to stop their crowdfunding by telling the little totalitarians to “have a blessed day”
