Even those of us who are not supporters of either Donald Trump or Jeb Bush can learn something by comparing how each of these men handled people who tried to disrupt their question-and-answer period after a speech.
After Bush's speech, hecklers from a group called "Black Lives Matter" caused Bush to simply leave the scene. When Trump opened his question-and-answer period by pointing to someone in the audience who had a question, a Hispanic immigration activist who had not been called on simply stood up and started haranguing.
Trump told the activist to sit down because someone else had been called on. But the harangue continued, until a security guard escorted the disrupter out of the room. And Jeb Bush later criticized Trump for having the disrupter removed!
What kind of president would someone make who caves in to those who act as if what they want automatically overrides other people's rights that the rules don't apply to them?
Trump later allowed the disrupter back in, and answered his questions. Whether his answers were good, bad or indifferent is irrelevant to the larger issue of rules that apply to everyone.
That wasn't enough to make "The Donald" a good candidate to be president. He isn't. But these revealing incidents raise painful questions about Bush being leader of the free world.
The Republican establishment needs to understand why someone with all Trump's faults could attract so many people who are sick of the approach that Jeb Bush represents. No small part of the internal degeneration of American society has been a result of supposedly responsible officials caving in to whatever group is currently in vogue, and allowing them to trample on everyone else's rights.

Nick, you raise a valid point.
I think this was a major error on the part of Trump.
But he isn't a sympathizer to muslim radicals.
I have a lot of respect for you, Nick. And I say this as a friend.
Get a grip. Open your mind. Look at things the way they are...not the way you want them to be.
I know you hate Trump, but you must consider that you might be wrong here.
Consider it...investigate it.
And if you decide you are not wrong, come back with renewed vengeance against Trump.
But at least consider that you might be wrong.
BTW, I have very clear vision of such stuff...and I am often wrong.
Fortunately, FreeRepublic and Jim Robinson keep me sane.
I don’t hate Trump. I just don’t want a liberal hijacking the GOP race. It’s bad enough as it is. If he wants to run for president, he should do it where he belongs, as a Democrat. He just knows he won’t make any headway there. By the time he drops out, it will be Jeb or Romney’s game. We don’t need that again.
But he is a killer (i.e. winner).
He wants America to start winning again.
Give it a thought.
I’m frankly insulted by his pandering to evangelicals ”the Bible,. ..”the Baaahyybbuulll .ooooohh!
He never showed much interest in the Bible until now,
”Oh, Billy Graaaham!”
Could anybody sound more fake and contrived?
I am now ignoring all “conservative” pundits. If you follow the money, they make a living by servicing the elites. They could not care less for the VAST MIDDLE CLASS. This what the fight of 2016 is all about. To save the middle class. Only Trump has two big brass ones to change the direction of country. Only Trump has no rich donors yanking on his chain.
The people who are backing other candidates are mostly middle class. But they are not sharp enough to figure out who their real enemies are.
Give God a chance. He has done this with so many unbelievers before.
God is in control...not Trump.
I am just going by all the evidence about Trump we have. Just believing in Hope & Change is not a plan. That already failed. All the evidence points to him being the 17th best Republican candidate. No more Hope & Change.
Then do some praying for our country
Trump doesn't get it yet...but he will.
Have some faith.;
I would like a feature which allowed us to sort thread to eliminate any posts to, or from specific posters.
In this case Genron L
Conservative as in GOPe ? Or Cuckservative as in allowing the GOPe to cheat while looking the other way. As I see it, those are the only options for looking at Sowell. Sowell = NotSoWell in my book.
“Trump has a feeling that God is driving him.”
I, and many others have the same feeling, and we are praying for Trump. Not that he merely wins, but that in the process, when things really get nasty, with solidly Christian Cruz as his Veep candidate, he will become what God has in mind for him.
He is our last chance to turn our Nation around. Nobody else on the scene, including Cruz, has the chops to pull it off.
TRUMP/CRUZ
2016!
LOL!
Well said!
GO CRUZ!!! Keep it up Trump!
Bush tucked his tail between his legs and ran.
Bush is the Beta Dog candidate.
Why Yes I Do Believe He Does Get It
Why Have Elections?
Thomas Sowell | Sep 15, 2015

In a country with more than 300 million people, it is remarkable how obsessed the media have become with just one — Donald Trump. What is even more remarkable is that, after six years of repeated disasters, both domestically and internationally, under a glib egomaniac in the White House, so many potential voters are turning to another glib egomaniac to be his successor.

Elections, however, have far more lasting, and far more serious — or even grim — consequences than emotional venting. The actual track record of crowd-pleasers, whether Juan Peron in Argentina, Obama in America or Hitler in Germany, is very sobering, if not painfully depressing.
(Snip)
Even if Trump himself does not end up as the Republican nominee for the presidency, he will have done a major disservice to both his party and the country if his grandstanding has cost us a chance to explore in depth others who may include someone far better prepared for the complex challenges of this juncture in history.
(Snip)
We can only hope that the months still remaining before the first primary elections next year will allow voters to get over their emotional responses and concentrate on the life and death implications of choosing the next President of the United States.
