When Iowa Republicans are asked who they would support in their local caucus, Ben Carson (23%) and Donald Trump (23%) tie for the top spot. The next tier of candidates includes Carly Fiorina (10%) and Ted Cruz (9%), followed by Scott Walker (7%), Jeb Bush (5%), John Kasich (4%), Marco Rubio (4%), and Rand Paul (3%). The last two Iowa caucus victors, Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum, each garner 2% of the vote. None of the other six candidates included in the poll register more than 1% support.
These results mark a significant shake-up in the leaderboard from Monmouths Iowa poll taken before the first debate, said Patrick Murray, director of the independent Monmouth University Polling Institute in West Long Branch, NJ. Carson and, to a lesser extent, Fiorina have surged, while Walker has faded into the background. In mid-July, Walker was the front runner in Iowa, with Trump and Carson following behind. Since then, Walkers support has dropped by 15 points, while Carsons has increased by 15 points and Trumps by 10 points. Support has also increased for Fiorina by 7 points since Monmouths last Iowa poll.
Only 12% of likely Republican caucusgoers say they are completely decided on which candidate they will support in February. Another 42% have a strong preference now but are willing to consider

Trump/Carson...what a GREAT ticket that would be. Could not lose.
I think you need one politician, don’t care if it’s the top or the bottom of the ticket. If you don’t know the way things work, you cannot change it.
Hopefully, but never underestimate Democrat voter fraud. The good thing about Trump is that he wouldn't accept fraud like previous wimps have.
What this indicates to me is that the race is still very fluid.
Most importantly, Trump and Carson are non-politicians, which is truly stunning.

Where is the Fiorina SURGE? LOL.
Combine Trump/Carson/Cruz/Fiorina and you have 2/3 of the total Iowa vote. All non-establishment.
Trump is stuck at 20-25%. Carson has emerged as the anti-Trump that people that don’t like him are rallying around. Not sure who will ultimately be the anti-Trump, but I think Trump loses Iowa.
I would never have dreamed that Carson would be at the top of the pack.
Carson the NON-politician, is leap frogging over all career politicians. People have finally realized that professional politicians lie a lot, make promises to voters, but then do what their sugar daddy’s want done, which is always AGAINST the interests of middle class.
Pray America is waking.
I agree....I think Trump has other plans for Carson....and Carson knows it.
Not really very stunning when you look at the liars and cheats who made promises, took our vote based on same, and then stuck it up our a$$es.
Pee-Wee Herman could out poll Boehner and McConnell combined.
Jun 20, 2015 “Dr. Ben Carson said Americas borders must be sealed to protect against terrorism and told a prominent group of Latino elected officials that he also supports giving illegal immigrants a path to legalization and eventual citizenship . . .”

Walker is toast, Bush is toast, and so are all others in Iowa. It will now be a duel between Trump & Carson, and either one will be a great president.
Bush - 5%. I’m lovin’ it!
The GOPe will not include Fiorina in the next varsity team debate even though she is polling at 10%. However, they probably will include another female to make up for it; Linda Graham. And, no I’m not a big Fiorina fan although she would be a better choice than most of the others.
How are Bernie and the bitch matching up in Iowa?
They have been friends for years.
Looks like Carson’s increase has come more from the shares of Establishments drones. This is a good thing.
