Why Trump?
1. Illegal immigration is the only issue; if it's not stopped soon, America will become like California -- a demographic one-party state.
2. Politics is about name-recognition and none of the other candidates besides Trump has the name recognition to challenge Jeb Bush or Hillary Clinton.
Therefore, Trump is the only candidate with a chance to win who has promised to do the only thing that matters.
“Ruminate:
think deeply about something.
Wow.”
Yes, wow, followed up by Trump etting aside his business empire to actually do something about it, like running for the highest office in the land, at a much lower rate of financial return I might add, because he is a patriot who loves his country and doesn’t want to see it go down the tubes. Meanwhile you back Walker, a man of local interest only, who can’t compete for the life of him on the national stage.
You do know by now that you are backing a loser, don’t you?
That Walker retains any support, it is deniers refusing to see the obvious.
To each his own.
:D
Some people around here are really going to have to come back down to earth.
There are just some people who you can look it and in about 1 second see that, nope, nope, that person is just not ever going to be elected president, and Scott Walker is one of those people.
Lindsey Graham is another. Just, sorry Lindsey, it’s not in your cards, sister.
You look sort of silly waving those Trump pompoms.
Nice try, but usual fail.
Comment when you’ve acquainted yourself with the truth.
Well, like I said, I don’t know that he’s telling me the truth, and I don’t know that he’s lying to me.
Maybe it’s true that he is a former liberal turned conservative, maybe it isn’t. People do change.
Problem is I don’t trust the GOP at all. Not even a little bit. In fact, I absolutely hate them with every fiber of my being.
So, I guess that is causing a problem for them in this election.
I don’t have a major with Walker. But I see Bush, Graham,, Pataki, Gilmore, Paul, and Huckabee, and ask, Why?
Last I heard he told Bill O’Really that they gotta go.
And yes, they gotta go.
That’s where I’m at, that’s where he’s at, so it’s a fit.
Trump sells them, and I wouldn't doubt if at least some of his supporters have them.
If he gets caught up with foot in mouth from one of his outburst which not even he can remove or even a scandal the Conservative side of the GOP will take the fall. Meaning Jebthro may then get his wish or worse than that the likes of {insert one of four northeastern GOP Liberal governors or ex governor governors name here}. I still don't trust him and I hope Cruz doesn't fully trust him either.
The election is in November 2016. This is September 2015. Don't you think it a bit foolish to demand sole allegiance or give such to any candidate this early? Many will drop out in the next few months before Jan 1 and some others could still step in and run. It's early yet. You're throwing away any leverage early on and saying yeah OK Donald whatever you wanna do we're behind you. Bad move politically especially with an unproven candidate.
Trump has flip-flopped more than Romney. Did you believe Romney had "turned conservative"?
That is a really good question. It seems like some people have a really overly inflated opinion of themselves.
I ask myself the same on Kasich... just why?
One thing America is clamoring for is a John Kasich presidency.
Not.
John Kasich, another answer to a question that no one ever asked and never will.
As far as Walker goes, I’m sure he’s a nice guy and all, and I don’t hate the man. Just doesn’t seem like the presidency is in the cards for him.
He’s not a very good campaigner at all.
OK, I was too judgmental, keyboard quick.
You call me Alinsky-style, Saul, without even the courtesy of asking my history, my family, my heritage?
Over/about one post?
Are you about discourse or distinction, no matter, this is only a meeting place. Mistakes can be made, mistakes can be healed.
Then you don’t know what you don’t know.
“Name another liberal you trust. If you cant, why trust liberal Donald Trump?”
Because like Ronald Reagan, Donald Trump is no longer a liberal. He, like so many people, grew older and wiser. Although if you read Trump’s books, you will see he has had a consistent set of conservative principles throughout, especially when it comes to capitalism. Trump moved in the right direction, not the wrong one, and that while working in a totally Dem city and environment. Kudo’s to him.
How about that. You can’t make this stuff up (unless you’re Trump and his camp followers).
He wasn’t my first choice, but I’m an honest guy, he had me fooled up until the 2nd or 3rd debate, I forget which it was when it just became apparent that he had no intention of fighting to win at all.
Nonetheless I held my nose and voted for him.
I was also completely fooled by Paul Ryan.
I was happy when he was selected for VP.
But now it boils down to the GOP has no one but itself to blame for the rise of Trump.
I got to get some sleep though, I’m up way too late.
This thread has been too much fun. G’nite South40.
You believe this why?
