MINNEAPOLIS — The Republican that Democrats fear most isn’t Donald Trump. It’s Jeb Bush, with John Kasich coming on fast.
Ask members of the Democratic National Committee whom they least want to face in the 2016 presidential election, and they often joke how they hope Trump stays hot.
“We are all Trump supporters,” Glen Maxey, a DNC member from Texas, said with a laugh. The DNC ended its three-day summer meeting Saturday, and members see Trump’s high negatives and penchant for controversy as lethal in a general election.
The insiders most respect those who have succeeded politically, and Trump has never won public office. That’s why Democrats often name as their most difficult foes Bush, a former governor of Florida and part of a family that’s won three presidential elections, and Kasich, second-term governor of a key swing state, Ohio.

Yea, it was true with Dole. I will never forget Elenor Clift, in a moment of honest, saying she preferred Dole to Steve Forbes (in 1996), when Forbes was kicking butt with his flat tax. She got what she wanted, and Clinton got his second term.

There can’t be an otherwise functioning adult who could get the nod in the Party of Slavery who isn’t fervently PRAYING for the chance to face Bush or Kasich.

They realize that both Jeb! and Kasich are running on Democrat platforms. It will confuse Democrat voters.

They FEAR-— Trump runninng, and EVEN MORE... Ted Cruz with the Constitution on his side. The actual Constitution, not the i-phone, CNN, Fox News scholar’s version of it or the pussy whipped Congress’s version.
We have to stick to our Constitution. And mean it. And this scares the hell out of dems.

Me too. I also still remember her VERY FAST PIVOT with Clinton and Lewinsky...she said it was all fabricated, and kept right on saying that, week after week, and then the dress was tested. Rather than saying how mad she was at him for lying to her and the country, she instantly said that it didn’t matter and that the problem was Ken Starr.
She was immensely talented and loyal...and we simply don’t have the ability on our side to match that. She would never turn on a Democrat the way George Will has turned on Trump.
Is this a joke? Yeb and Kasich? I don’t think so. LOL!

What about John Huntsman? I hear he would be a formidable opponent.
