The Iowa straw poll shows that Trump has emerged as the prohibitive favorite to win the GOP nomination.
I’ve never seen a guy dominate the field as completely as Trump.
Carson at 18%?
Good guy, but he would do more good by continuing his brain surgeries.
In before nickcarraway
Trump is benefitting from the desire of the citizens to stop the colonization of their country.
Swirling air nd the drain
The soft mannered BC doing well in IA.
The big turn around in Trump favorables must have the Des Moines Register sorely dispirited.
We’ve had so many Trump threads, is there analysis on why Dr. Carson shot up to 2nd place and remained there, basically since the first debate?
Second most posted threads are about Cruz, yet many polls showed him not cracking 10%.
What has Dr. Carson done in his campaign for such result?
fyi...tried link and it didn’t work. Here’s another link:
The last Des Moines Register poll in May had Trump at 4%. This one is consistent with the CNN from about a week ago Trump 22 Carson 14 Cruz 8... But did anyone look at the DeMoines Reg Dem Poll? LOL Hillary 37 Bernie 30 Biden 14... Hillary is feeling more Bern all the time...
The Trump’s reversal of the fav/unfav is more that people are seeing his genuineness, and rejecting the MSM’s patented meme they are trying to project.
Good article on Dr. Carson here:
As LifeNews previously reported, in a video from 2012, Carson elaborated on his thoughts about slavery and abortion. He said, The slave owners felt that they should be able to do whatever they wanted to do. And there were some people who were not slave owners who said, You can do what you want to do, but I dont.
However, Carson later realized that being personally against abortion is not enough, and abortion isnt justifiable because the baby is growing inside its mother. Carson asked, Does that convey the right to terminate it? It doesnt convey that right anymore than a slave owner had the right to terminate a slave.
Additionally, in 2013, Carson shared what he believes about the supposed war on women at the Voters Value Summit. He said, You know, there are those of us in this society who have told women that theres a war on them because that cute little baby inside of them, they may want to get rid of it and there are people that are keeping you from doing that, Carson continued. And women say, No, no, theyre not doing that to me! No! And they get all riled up.
There is no war on them, the war is on their babies, Babies that cannot defend themselves. Over the past few decades, we have destroyed 55 million of them. And we have the nerve to call other societies of the past heathen. What we need to do is re-educate the women to understand that they are the defenders of these babies.
The caucus is a long way off but nonetheless this poll is astoundingly bad for Walker. His campaign has apparently thrown away the great opportunity he had.
Shortly after the next debate, we will be seeing caution signs:
Watch out for derailed bandwagons.
Those who are still struggling at 0%, 1%, 2% maybe even up to 5% will find the donor money dried up.
Several have already hinted at money problems or calling it quits: Perry (money), Christie (no umph), JBush (money, surprisingly).
Link broken - It is embeded above
So when is Carson going to get the respect he deserves ?
“Trump is now at 61% favorable, 35% unfavorable while in May he was 21-63% favorable/unfavorable.”
Simply amazing.
As Carson is also a non-politician, it's a politically correct way to say "I don't support the establishment GOP" with the added bonus of saying you are voting for a black man as opposed to a billionaire loudmouth.
While Ben Carson is certainly a fine man who is worthy of a serious look, I'm thinking that these strong poll showings is coming from "closet Trump supporters."
Probably time for Walker to call it a day. Voters aren’t interested in accomplishment and ability to crush democrats three times straight.
The DES MOINES REGISTER is such a snarky little rag...
