Many of the more than 400 people who attended a Jeb Bush town hall meeting in Pensacola say the former governor was more engaged with the crowd and more passionate when discussing key issues.
Bush is not known for his public speaking skills. Hell be the first to tell you hes not an entertainer, but he appeared to be more enthusiastic and animated at the small venue today.
Jeb Bush seems to do well when speaking to smaller, more intimate groups. His main opponent, however, thrives at chaotic, massive events.

Did someone in those “small, intimate” (i.e. “sparse”) groups hold a mirror under his nose to discover that?

was more engaged
Media BS.
What average person would say of any candidate, 'he is more engaged than he was previously'?
It does sound like something a media sycophant or supporter would say, but not the average person.
This report is nothing more than an attempt to counter previous claims of Bush not being engaged or energetic. It is a political BS propaganda piece.

I’m surprise the reporter didn’t use the work “feisty”. The Bush campaign has instructed their minions to use that word as part of their official talking points.

I frankly dont even believe he got 400.
Overheard after the event:
'Jeb Bush? Dangit! I thought it was the Bush Baked Beans guy. I wanted to see the Bush Baked Beans dog. It talks, ya know.'

Bush was supposed to ‘go to the border’ on Monday,. This is Thursday & I haven’t heard a single word about his trip there.
Did he actually go?

I think the Bushes are quite callous, lacking strong moral conviction, and not at all “nice!” How could the Bush brothers, one governor of Florida, the other president of the US, stand by and let Terri Schiavo murdered in such a cruel manner? Either one of them could have stopped it, yet they did not, because it was not politically expedient to do so. They are truly depraved men, both of them, as much a blight on the presidency as Millard Filmore, Lyndon Johnson, Franklin Roosevelt, and Bill Clinton, and it is my fervent prayer that Jeb Bush will ever hold office again!

One of my friends is a higher up in the GOP who is undecided. He's tough to peg in a political category and likes Cruz and Kasich (what a combination). He saw Jeb speak and wasn't impressed at all. He think Jeb can't win. I agree.

Is Jeb’s renewed vitality supposed to make us vote for him? I think NOT.

I think the Bushes are nice people. You dont hear of any scandals in their family, nor anything about the men cheating on their wives. Ill give them kudos for that. |
Except for this 'little' bump...
Neil Bush was a member of the board of directors of Denver-based Silverado Savings and Loan during the 1980s' larger savings and loan crisis. As his father, George H.W. Bush, was Vice President of the United States, his role in Silverado's failure was a focal point of publicity. According to a piece in Salon, Silverado's collapse cost taxpayers $1.3 billion. The US Office of Thrift Supervision investigated Silverado's failure and determined that Bush had engaged in numerous "breaches of his fiduciary duties involving multiple conflicts of interest." Although Bush was not indicted on criminal charges, a civil action was brought against him and the other Silverado directors by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation; it was eventually settled out of court, with Bush paying $50,000 as part of the settlement
