Deadly shooting during live TV news report in Va.

A gunman killed a reporter and videographer for a CBS affiliate in Virginia in a shooting that was broadcast live Wednesday morning.

Alison Parker and Adam Ward, a reporter and cameraman for CBS Roanoke affiliate WDBJ-TV, died in the shooting, Parker's mother confirmed to CBS News.

WDBJ-TV reports that deputies from Franklin County and Bedford County were on the scene.

The shooting happened at Bridgewater Plaza in Moneta, Virginia.

I’ve been in two live fire self defense situations in my life, and I can tell you that it’s the most terrifying experience one can imagine. I don’t know how the military men and women condition themselves to it. I still have nightmares, and my incidents were 15 years ago.

It’s quite odd that she describes her kids as “two Puerto Rican boys.” I know and have known many, many parents over my long life and I don’t think I’ve ever heard a parent describe their children by ethnicity. Maybe her boys live in Puerto Rico?

Maybe Adam wasn’t Parkers only camerman. The perp is no looker, definitely a behind the sceens employee. My guess is the Perp made unwanted advances on Parker which got him fired.

Her posture is almost identical to Oswald when he took that chest shot. Look again.
If it didn’t hit the CNS, it doesn’t drop people instantly. Especially if they had no clue.

It isn’t military or police training that makes you run. Its instant reflex. First one went through her chest is how it looks. You even see her hair blow from muzzle blast.

I'm sure we do have some freepers with that experience.
