Your Humble Correspondent has just returned from another DC Sunday evening social, or as properly known, Great Gossip Fest.
Since in DC, most wild rumors turn out to be true, am passing them on for whatever they are worth. This was a “tennis event” at a place with one poor tennis court, great beyond top shelf tequila, and tea for the 12 Step crowd.
Report follows:
1: Biden is in. He is not 100% sure yet, but he has stopped drinking in preparation for a possible run, and for Biden, that is a very serious commitment. He is in because running is in the DNA of every politician in DC to run for the next higher office. One big question, however; how close to or far from Obama will/can he position himself. Close; he probably preempts Warren and gets rid of Sanders, but he carries all the Barry Baggage. Away, toward the center, an easier run, but very angry far left libs who might sit it out.
2: Bill Clinton is not supporting Hillary’s presidential dreams. Right now, he has all the money and easy sex he wants. If Hillary is elected, he is forced back into the national spotlight, and cannot avoid it as he does now. She is REALLY pissed, and that is not pretty. Feels she saved his ass in Monicagate… and he owes her. His reaction; Monica?... Oh yes.... I think I remember.
Forgetting about his policies or morals, Bill is the best “retail” politician any of us ever saw, and she is about the worst… and he knows it.
It’s a total lose-lose for him. She wins, be loses his cover. She loses, his wah goes way down too, and with it the Big Bucks.
3: The National Enquirer has posted a “reward” of $250,000 for anyone who can get a picture of Bill Clinton and Julie McMahon (“Energizer”) together. More if it’s a “sexy pose.” Naked, probably $1,000,000, which the Enquirer would make back in about 20 minutes!
41: The Ambassador of Mideast Country A, which does not get along at all with Mideast Country B, is having a torrid affair with the wife of the Ambassador of Country B. Eeevvveeryone knows! They have been seen at Washington’s favorite trysting get-away, The Inn at Little Washington.
The best line tonight was “So is Ambassador XXXX pumping Mrs. YYYYY for information… or is he just pumping her?”
Oh, I almost forgot:
5: Hillary? Hillary who?
There was a great line a few years ago about Frumpy Bottom being in charge at Foggy Bottom...
Might have been Fat Bottom, I’ve forgotten.

Thanks for the Entertaining gossip. I like your tagline and never thought of such a sneaky twist. The next 15 months are going to be a bumpy ride. My biggest hope is that we have an orderly end to the current regime in power.
I think Biden will be the nominee.
Here’s the deal:
Biden meets Warren and talks her into being VP. He persists and she agrees.
He announces his candidacy for POTUS with a new twist: A running mate!
The press and the Left go bananas over the new tag team.
The Hillary campaign is toast............

I’d love to see Biden debate Cruz or even Trump for that matter. They’d mop the floor with that drunk pervert. FU Joe.
“Wah”: It’s Oriental, Japanese or Chinese, not sure.
Personal place in “pecking order”, Personal standing among peers, Importance, particularly as seen by public, also related in a way to self-confidence and self-pride.
More “personal” than “official as on some org chart or driven by title.”
“The Lieutenant was in charge, but the First Sergeant, who won the DSC at Pork Chop Hill, had the Wah.”
“He didn’t get fired when he dented the boss’s car, but he lost a lot of wah.”
“The Japanese Colonel lost so much wah when his troops lost the battle on Iwo Jima that he committed Hari-hari”

My money’s been on Hillary stepping down in October since day one. It’s looking better every day.
Didn't know that Biden had a drinking problem. But it could be that brain damage due to alcohol is the major cause of his perpetual gaffes. Guess he thinks he'll improve if he's able to stay off the booze, but it's probably a little late at his age. He was probably forced to make that pledge to his prospective campaign inner circle (who know him all too well) or else.

For all their clever actions, they sure do screw up at times.
