A gunman opened fire on board a high speed train in northern France.
Eyewitnesses said three U.S. Marines on the train disarmed the gunman.
The man was armed with a deadly a Kalashnikov AK-47 assault rifle.
Three people were wounded and the gunman is currently in police custody.

This proves that citizens don’t need to be armed to deal with a gunman.
Everyone report to your nearest USMC base immediately for necessary training.
Once you have completed the training, you have 30 days to surrender any and all weapons, firearms, etc. that are currently in your possession.

Unless you wish to cause mild offense, refer to them as Marines (usually capitalized). Members of the U.S. Army and National Guard are soldiers. Members of the Air Force are airmen. Members of the Navy are sailors.

Marines guarded the US Mail trains in the 1920s after a rash of robberies.
Navy Secretary Denby, a former Marine, sent a message to the Corps, which reads in part: “
You must, when on guard duty, keep your weapons in hand and, if attacked, shoot and shoot to kill. There is no compromise in this battle with bandits. If two Marines guarding a mail car, for example, are suddenly covered by a robber, neither must hold up his hands, but both must begin shooting at once. One may be killed, but the other will get the robbers and save the mail. When our Marine Corps men go as guards over the mail, that mail must be delivered or there must be a dead Marine at the post of duty. -”

How long until Obama punishes the Marines. and sends the family of the Moroccan Muslim some US tax money?
If it happened here obama wuld push for law abiding folks to be disarmed, worry about christians exacting ‘revenge’ and stand tall with the muzzies. Harf would talk about more jobs for muslims.
And if it happened here, Obama would want the Marines charged with a Hate Crime for taking down that raghead.
After all, he was unarmed when the authorities arrived.

But there is little doubt as to the intent and the means of how an AK-47 got into this (unnamed) person’s hands.
All the earmarks of a “lone wolf” attack.
Which are not so “lone wolf” after all. This is the new strategy.
I’m confused, though - I would assume that guns weren’t allowed on French trains. How could there be a “gunman”?
