And according to Wikipedia he cheated on his first wife for 5 years with his 2nd wife.

Obviously Gingrich’s old marriage issues came up in the debates for him.

He was certainly NOT a slum loRd His building standards were above standards. Using a lot of brick those building are still valuable today. Many selling in the 300 -400,000 range.

Newt had the nomination in the bag until he went soft on illegal immigration. Immigration not infidelity cost Newt the nomination. Last time around Romney was the (illegal) immigration hard liner and he won. This time around Trump is the hard liner and he is winning. See the pattern?

At the end of the day we will all have to decide is it worth getting someone in who will be effective with immigration and other economic and perhaps social issues at the expense of other issues.

In regards to Trump and my concerns, that sentence should read "...is this the person who will be effective..."

in 1985, the NY Times claimed he was acting like a slumlord.

http://www.nytimes.com/1985/03/09/opinion/new-york-doer-and-slumlord-both.html

in 1973, the US government went after him for violations of the Fair Housing Act.

https://groups.google.com/forum/?_escaped_fragment_=topic/talk.politics.misc/Gg-_jH-APFg#!topic/talk.politics.misc/Gg-_jH-APFg

if you think that these are semantic points, i would remind you that during the general election, it will be easy for the MSM to paint him as a slumlord. very very easy.

....”In regards to Trump and my concerns, that sentence should read “...is this the person who will be effective...”....

Definately NOT without a strong reliable cabinet. I thought similar of Dubya , though glad he won I had reservations until he named his cabinet....which by the way was a heads up something was coming that would require the strength of the cabinet he chose.....

Trump appears to not hesitate getting the right people to do the jobs he's limited by....he's connected enough to locate good men and bring them on...what I mean by good is strong and decisive men...though we might not like them...I believe we need a hard hitting machine in Washington to crack the whip and do some house cleaning big time....

In that respect I think he can be effective....plus he has the “face” and personality to present a strong America in the World.

Remember they said Bush talked like a Cowboy?...well I tell ya the Islamic terrorists knew ‘exactly’ what he was saying despite how the left picked it apart....the same would be said of Trump...our enemies will understand him very well and unmistakeably I think.

Megyn Kelly or Monica Crowley?

Megyn Crowley [my new nickname for the Faux News non-Babe].

Megyn Kelly has already demonstrated her liberal bias and inability to be objective, ala Candy Crowley of 'oh I just happen to have these notes that refute Romney and back up President Obama', in my view Megyn Kelly is no different from that fat pig who was (and remains) in the tank for the 'RATS, the only thing lil mad Megyn has to do is to start packin' on the pounds so she'll look like Crowley on the outside too. ;)

In other news...Rove, Boehner, McConnell placed on SUICIDE WATCH along with most of Fox News contributors; Megyn Kelly extends vacation indefinitely, moves to Nevada, signs with Moonlite Bunny Ranch.

Thank you Put in research file
1 consider source
2 consider the time
3 compare to other filed material

Look for a quote from Barron Hilton. Comparing dealing with the mob and dealing with the government.

There’s no such thing as buyer’s remorse with someone so strong on immigration.

“I have not seen, or heard enough to convince me he is the real deal. If Trump has not truly had a conversion, and is simply saying what ever needs to be said to get the nomination, then he would be worse (using his past statements and stances as a guide) for this country than some of the mid to slightly left leaning GOPe candidates in the race, IMO. “

You’ve got to be kidding!

Trump is the ONLY candidate to have the courage to talk about how the invasion is ruining this country. The ONLY one to take the heat for speaking the truth and standing up for America and Americans.

Do you really think he will be for amnesty when he gets in office? If he does that - and I’m not saying he will, but if so, we are no worse off than when Yeb, Rubio, or Walker push amnesty. But after Trump bringing up the issue, the crimes, the costs - even better than Tancredo and Hunter were vilified for doing by W - he won’t flip to be as bad as the RINOs.
