Rubio: Birthright Citizenship Part of US Exceptionalism, People Coming to US To Have Kids...
Breitbart TV ^ | 8/20/15 | Ian Hanchett

Posted on 08/20/2015 7:09:05 PM PDT by markomalley

Florida Senator and Republican presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) said that he’s “not in favor of repealing the 14th Amendment” because birthright citizenship is one of the things that makes America exceptional, but that people coming to the US to have children is “a legitimate issue” in an interview with CNBC’s John Harwood released on Thursday.

Rubio began by saying that illegal immigrants are “human beings,” and “not just statistics,” but “human beings with stories.”

Rubio was then asked about the debate over immigration in the GOP and whether the GOP was hurting its 2016 chances. Rubio stated that individual candidates don’t speak for the whole party, and individual candidates are “responsible for their own rhetoric and what they say.” He added, “the face of the Republican Party’s going to be our nominee.”

The reported fool opened his mouth and removed all doubt.

Hey, prince Rube, you might wish to quit talking now. Jib Jeb is listening and he might not agree, but again, maybe he already does.

[ Yep. Human beings with stories; in Spanish. They have no interest in assimilating, or learning English, or becoming citizens, or contributing to our Country. They are %$#& freeloaders. ]

Yup!

If they don;t have the decency to come in through the front door and instead try to sneak in through the window or the back door, they don’t deserve to live in the G_D DAMNED HOUSE!

It was never intended for illegal aliens.

Yes, and if you notice, Rubio’s premise is that the 14 Amendment provides that illegal immigrant children born here are automatically citizens (because it shouldn’t be changed to prevent it). Perhaps the amendment does not need to be repealed if a case is presented to SCOTUS and they find that the 14A does NOT provide for “anchor babies”.

Corrupt hypocrite using Obama’s language to instigate immigration corruption under a veil of humanitarianism and entrepreneurialism.

Since all the freed slaves are now dead, there is no longer any reason for the amendment to continue in existence. The amendment accomplished its purpose of guaranteeing them citizenship.

The amendment now SHOULD BE REPEALED. Instantly, this would do away with the INCORPORATION DOCTRINE, which has done nothing but distort the meaning of the BILL OF RIGHTS.

That explains his defense. If this sort of citizenship can be stripped (I think it should never have existed), then it isn’t natural citizenship.

This is exactly why he’s in single digits. Go back to DC with Lindsay Graham.

So - having a wish makes it OK to violate our sovereignty and dilute that which made us great in the first place....and makes it a rewardable act.

“The amendment now SHOULD BE REPEALED.”

The 14th amendment PROHIBITS birthright citizenship. You must have missed Mark Levin on this, or Rush, or Hannity. It is like the 2nd amendment that states: “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” That means, of course, in Liberal speak, that the people have no right to own guns.
