Says who? Can you imagine a Cruz vs. Hillary or Cruz vs. Sanders debate? There's not enough popcorn in the world.

Rand Paul did himself in in the last debate. He came across as a real jerk who can’t control his temper.

Perry is out of money. Christie - the fat slob bastard who hugged Obama - is toast.

Rubio I originally liked until he sold out to the Uni-Party over Scamnesty.

It’s TRUMP for now as he has no need of money from anyone. Cruz for VP.

I’m hoping Trump will one term it and Cruz can take over and do two terms.

Good analysis - except for the last paragraph.

Hell if you put Ted Cruz in a debate against Joe Biden, Biden would endorse Cruz for president and walk away wondering what the hell happened.

The only way Cruz beats Jeb Bush is if the Dem primaries become important enough for Dems to vote for Dems instead of in the R primaries for Bush.

With the good ship Hillary appearing to take on more water almost daily, this may be a real possibility.

Because he is the most conservative and that is why the GOPe and media will not let him get it.

Groovy

Trump wins - we win

Cruz wins - we win

The Republican team bench is wide and deep. Lot to like and a few not to like, but ya can’t say the same about the Rats.

Hillary gonna be presented with an ultimatum, like the one Goldwater gave to Nixon, the man she hated so much: Leave now and the prosecution ends. Stay and you end up on trial.

She’s gone. Even the Evil Party can figure that out.

Here in the Democratic People’s Republic of Alta California, I’m seeing more and more “Bernie!” bumperstickers in the last 2 weeks.

Hillary, like always, is yesterday’s girl.

PS

Trump is planning to win and he owes nobody anything. Good luck to the party “insiders” trying to dislodge him. The Rockefeller Republicans thought they could do it to Reagan - they did in ‘76 - but he prevailed. Trump is in far, far better position.

This is why all conservatives should give humble and hearty thanks to Donald Trump. While rattling both the Democrat and Republican leadership, he is also providing a lot of cover to the conservatives, taking innumerable cheap shots they would have been getting, while the conservatives get stronger.

The real losers here are the anointed establishment candidates, supported by big money a mile deep but only an inch wide. But that money is not accomplishing anything, as even with million dollar advertisements, they are still boring drones.

I don’t see cruz winning. Not getting the traction so far, and this has always been jebito’s race to lose. If he is nominated by some miracle, he doesn’t have the populist appeal to win the general.

He’s still a young man and could win a later election. It just isn’t his time.

“Cruz will lose. For all his brilliant campaign strategy, that’s one contingency Cruz still can’t crack.”

Against Hillary? Running from her jail cell? And has anyone heard Hillary on the stump - as stiff and unappealing as a broom.

Plus, I doubt Hillary has EVER debated a conservative on neutral turf. She is in for a big surprise when her panders don’t fly.

My support for Cruz is unwavering. Trump may have some great ideas, but he is late to the party. Cruz has towed the line and soldiered on for true conservative causes! I’m not going to abandon ship for a guy with more Hollywood baggage than Kim Kardashian!

If we get Cruz versus Hillary Clinton, a few choice words by Cruz would discombobulate Hillary in no time flat.

If you're a Republican who thinks Cruz can win in the general election, this is all great news. But if you don't, it's fairly scary. Because it means a sure loser has the surest path to the nomination — and the confidence to pursue it with no reservations.

I have no doubt that Cruz could win the election, but despite what this author claims, I don't see a path to the nomination for Cruz.

The next puzzle piece to fall into place is Rick Perry. Even for Cruz, who has happily made himself a hate figure in the oh-so-collegial Senate, dumping on Perry would be bad form. It’s essential to the Cruz campaign that Perry take himself out — and that’s nearly a done deal, now, too.

********************************************************************************************************
I saw Rick Perry being interviewed by Charles Payne on Fox News this afternoon and Perry pretty well completed the job of taking himself out. Payne tried to get him to clarify how he (Perry) would deal with inducements to illegal immigration and what he (Perry) would do with the many millions of illegals already here. Perry WOULD NOT ANSWER those questions and repeatedly retreated to “secure the border”.

The illegal alien problem is multi-faceted and must be dealt with on multiple fronts. Perry clearly doesn’t want to do anything to antagonize his “main stream” Republican supporters (e.g., National Chamber of Commerce) who flourish on the illegal alien presence.

Rick Perry, put your ridiculous glasses away... you’re finished and you did it yourself.

Does anyone seriously think that if Hitlery is the Rat candidate that she will ever allow any debates at all? She’s not quite that stupid, she knows she’ll get creamed.

When I got to the line about GOPe liking Cruz, I knew I could stop reading there as the author had clearly been ingesting mushrooms.

What a maroon!
