Marco Rubio is not echoing Donald Trump's call to repeal the constitutional provision that automatically grants citizenship to individuals born in the United States.
"I'm open to doing things that prevent people who deliberately come to the U.S. for purposes of taking advantage of the 14th Amendment, but I'm not in favor of repealing it," Rubio, a Florida Republican senator and presidential hopeful, told reporters in Iowa on Tuesday.

This is good. This kind of clarity will help to clear the field of Amnesty Idiots like Rubio.
Thats fine Marco. I decided a long time ago not to support you.
For Rubio, the issue is personal. He was born in Miami in 1971 and his parents, though in the country legally, did not become citizens until 1975 for reasons that are unclear.
I wonder if his next gig will be with La Raza?
Yea he’s an anchor baby even though his parents were legal residents you dumb f.
lol. I almost feel sorry for him. Almost.
Agreed. To that extent I REALLY like to know where they stand. No way will this ever be enshrined in the Constitution, BUT it sure IDs the Amnesty people.
Because Cubans wanted to go back if the US one day decided to stop protecting Castro.
An anchor baby is not eligible to be POTUS anyway. Not a natural born citizen (any more than Obama is).
From my understanding, the Trump position, if effected, would not disqualify children of non-citizens from US citizenship if the parents are here legally, as were the Rubios. As far as I know (and, granted, that’s not really very far) we’re the only country in the world that grants citizenship to anyone and everyone born here, regardless of circumstances.
Trump going to decimate these guys over the next few months on this issue. Trump punches them they react and whine. Trump is controlling the election agenda. Rube has a one way ticket to K Street being Zuckerberg’s K Street puppet.

I thought “anchor baby” meant the child of an illegal alien.
Does the term have a new meaning now?
Yes, permanent non-citizen residents that was opined by Justice Gray in US v. Wong Kim Ark, 1898. Many believe that SCOTUS opinion is in error, but that's another subject.
Congress has the power to create naturalization, positive citizenship laws that is not in conflict with the 14th Amendment to cover anchor babies and the chain migration of alien subjects and citizens that follows.
Neither Rubio or Kasich want to touch the issue, and that’s a deal breaker for me.
Rubio’s parents were not American citizens when he was born in the US..
They were from Cuba and were naturalized in 1975, 4 years AFTER the 1971 birth of Marco..
So Rubio is not NBC..
