Republican presidential candidate and Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker made no friends with the RINO GOP establishment on Monday, going where establishment-backed moderate squishy candidates like RINOs Jeb Bush, Lindsey Graham or Chris Christie would probably never go.
Appearing on the Glenn Beck radio program on Monday, Walker told Beck that RINO leader Mitch McConnell is part of the problem in Washington, citing broken GOP promises regarding Obamacare and funding Obamas illegal amnesty.
Mitch McConnell is part of the problem. Will you go so far as saying that there are people in the GOP that are part of the establishment, like Mitch McConnell, that are part of the problem? Beck asked Walker, referring to a NY Times story which Beck said that Mitch McConnell told constitutional conservative, Senator Mike Lee, how he has to decide to stick with these Tea Party freaks or his [McConnells Republican] party.
Yes. I hear it all the time and I share that sentiment, the Wisconsin governor answered. We were told if Republicans got the majority in the United States Senate, there would be a bill on the presidents desk to repeal Obamacare. It is August. Where is that bill? Where was that vote? he asked rhetorically.
We were told theyd do something about illegal immigration. If it hadnt been for me and 24 other governors out there, the president would be able to do what he claimed he couldnt do 22 times before last November, and then went off and did it a couple of weeks after the election, Walker explained.
Walker said that the frustration with broken promises by GOP leadership is why non-elected candidates are surging in the polls. People are sending a very clear message, he asserted.
Beck seemed pleased after the interview that Walker didnt get weasely or tiptoe around the question when asked about McConnell.
Meh. Seems to me that the uniparty has given him permission to punch at their bought and paid for speaker and senate majority leader. I’ve noted for months that Walker is the likely fallback candidate for the uniparty should jebito fail.
A “me too” strategy mouthing populist themes weeks after the other candidates.
It’s way past time to get rid of McConnell, Graham, Christie, McCain, Boehner and the rest of the RINO Freaks.
I have always been for walker hated the idea of bush and mistrustful of Donald trump.
Well it’ll be buying insurance across state line, HSAs, and tort reform. Might as well save him the trouble.
Probably in Wisconsin doing something conservative, instead of talking about doing something and failing.
Message Walker that Beck is not trustworthy. His changes are becoming legendary. He seems so often to be a cyclothymic personality.
Its pretty telling that Scott Walker waited until now to roll out such a message
Yes it is.
Maybe next he will be wanting to build a wall on the southern border and get Mexico to pay for it.
or maybe he will follow Jeb’s line
and want to hug everyone
Yeah it's really getting to that level of suspicion isn't it. I wonder the same kind of thing. Just how many ways can Lucy say she'll hold that ole football and we keep trying to kick it. LUCY, that's a good nickname for the GOPe.
I was reading the transcript of his conversation with Glenn Beck yesterday.
Walker was asked about Obamacare and why we have to replace it instead of reversing it.
Walker mentioned the Medicaid expansion, taxes and so on.
Missing from the discussion all the time is the hard fact that the Affordable Care Act pumps Medicaid taxpayer dollars and increased mandatory health insurance coverage dollars into the health care industry.
The Cadillac Health Plan Tax and 30 hour requirement for employer coverage both give employers the ability to control health care costs. Employees end up paying more under Obamacare while employer costs are contained.
The big money contributors win again on Obamacare do like they do on Amnesty.
I don’t think anybody is talking the way I just did but they need to be.
The Reagan Democrats have been abandoned by the GOPe and Trump is getting their support with his immigration position.
I support Cruz, not Trump but Ted and Scott and the rest better wise up and get with the program about how policy in DC helps the big people but not the little people.
Trump is personifying his name. You play a card, he Trumps you.
Walker cannot afford to keep “walking.” He needs to rhetorically define himself in action verbs.
I believe he has the stuff to do the job the right way, but this is a completely different game, the rules are changing in real time. He must be aggressive and imaginative.
He needs to ignore the traditional political consultant types who do a poll and then construct talking points. He needs to ignore the polls, lead in the direction he knows is right, and convince others to follow.
Scott Walker didn't bother to even "phone it in" ...
That's PURE unadulterated political COWARDICE ... in anyone's book ...
FACT. .
Georgie Will really likes Walker as opposed to Trump.
Pray America is waking
China is going down, down, down. It is in trouble as a country.
Well then where are WE in this Picture, China is eating our Lunch...
“Wont most voters see through that and want the real thing? Or do you think this will work for him?”
As transparent as he might seem, this type of thing is good exercise for him. He gets to put his toe in the water and find it is welcoming. Maybe with some practice he will actually get good at it.
P.S. I say that about Walker with all due respect of his past experiences and actions. It has been great to see him take hard stands on important issues in a rather Blue State.

Anything is possible, but Walker lost momentum when Trump started speaking out, and that trend may very well continue. Walker has no charisma.
Oh, so ObamaCare is the battle you were talking about. Indeed, Walker was busy doing things - like telling Obama to shove it about setting up a state exchange, or telling Obama no thanks to the strings-attached Medicare funds. Plus all the other conservative things that got passed in Wisconsin around that time - voter id, concealed carry, etc. Oh, yes, there was that little thing with the unions.
Just to make myself clear - I am undecided between Walker and Cruz. It is just that I am tired of folks tearing down a good man with false or misleading claims. Walker indeed does not talk a good game. But I am not following him because of his talk. I am watching him because of his actions.
“At last, Governor Walker is hitting the right note”
Sadly that’s the problem with Walker. “at last” Where was he before? Nobody is buying it now. That dog won’t hunt in 2016.
