State Department Accused Of ‘Incompetence’ After It ‘Finds’ 81,000 Clinton Aide Emails
Daily Caller ^ | August 17, 2015 | Chuck Ross

The State Department says it has more than 81,000 state.gov emails from a top Clinton aide at the State Department despite the agency’s past claims that it did not have such records.

The discrepancy, which has led to accusations that the State Department is either “lying” or “incompetent,” is laid out in the agency’s Aug. 13 response in a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed by Gawker.

In Sept. 2012, the website filed a FOIA request for emails Clinton aide Philippe Reines sent to reporters at various news agencies. The State Department responded in July 2013, saying that it found no responsive records.

Gawker followed up with an appeal saying it is “difficult to believe” that Reines sent no emails on his state.gov account given that some of his emails had already been published at the time.

Yeah, the same kind of “incompetence” displayed by Lois Lerner at the IRS.

This email scandal has exposed how Obama, Clinton, Huma, Rice, et all have compromised our national security. How many other governing elites have similar private servers? Call up Peking, Moscow and Tehran for further details..

Hopefully Hillary and Obungle will come to an agreement soon so these emails can get lost again.

No kidding.

If that was you or I they would have been at our door the very next day and confiscated the server and jailed us.

the incompetence accusation fits the State Department for getting CAUGHT. The same stands true for those in DC, most of whom are criminals. They only get caught if one of their fellow DC criminals exposes them. Unfortunately, DC white collar crime hardly ever gets prosecuted and the criminals almost never go to jail for their crimes, unless of course they speak against the political establishment. Crime pays very well if one is a DC politician.

“5.5 gigabytes of data containing 81,159 emails of varying length” that were sent or received by Reines during his government tenure. Of those emails, the attorneys added, “an estimated 17,855” were likely responsive to Gawker’s request:

I wonder if they delivered those on paper printouts just like Hillary's? I hope the Scanning to Digital Dept. is competent.

Is the State Department incompetent, or are they lying?

Yes.

Evidently the two traits overlap a LOT. By no means are they mutual exclusives.
